Mac OS XP is a ShapeShifter theme that changes the entire appearance of your graphical interface in Mac OS X. This theme is a port of the Windows XP Luna, Homestead and Silver appearances. It comes with a Windows XP wallpaper, Safari and Dock custom skins.
What's new in Mac OS XP
Version 2.5:
Updated for Panther.
Added all Panther specific elements.
Went trough and refined existing elements.
Added Safari skins, one for each variation.
Each variation now has it's own specific Metal appearance.
Inactive titlebars are now opaque. That way it's more true to the original and it might also increase performance a tad..
All buttons now have a transparent disabled state, instead of the previous greyed out state.
New menus/menubar. There is now a Menubar selection, but if you select the Apple menu it looks kinda funky, but it was the best solution I could come up with.

Maybe this is a Tiger issue, but I installed this theme on my G5 and it looked great except for the Finder.
In the Finder, the names in the menu bar were all truncated...odd... something like "Finder Fi... E... Vi... G... W... He..."
I hope this is simply a tiger issue and that an update is in the works. :)
Great theme otherwise!
I don't understand why people hate the Windows XP skin so much.
It's different that's all!
A different style than the Mac.
I own an Ibook and eMac and wouldn't think of changing due to the hell I went through with Windows - BUT hey, this is beautiful IHMO and I've loaded it on my iBook snow.
It looks great, Homestead colors....
Good job, very good.
I've owned nothing but Macs since 1987. And I have no love for PCs. Nonetheless, this theme offers some nice color and variety compared to a lot of the other droll gray and silver themes out there. This theme still leaves my Mac with an overall Mac feel, and I for one appreciate that the developer created it.
I've spent years damning PCs and their creators. I've passed through Linux and now I own a Mac. I'm sooo happy. And seeing any PC related screenshot makes me soooo sick... That's ok. Nice try. Maybe try turning your fair creativity somewhere else? :-)
Max - I've enjoyed your themes since installing Jaguar over a year ago and am currently running brushed in Panther. Thanks for the great themes, but XPee ? Surely you could channel your creative energies into something more aesthetically appealing such as a desktop picture of a flame thrower being applied to a PeeCee :)
What a Joke! Why would anyone want to make a Mac look like that sorry excuse of an OS. XP is crap and why make your Mac go through such torcher. Virtual PC is crime enough without this! Windows Sux!
For an XP emulation, it's very well implemented, and I agree it looks BETTER than actual XP GUI, but for God's sake, WHY?? XP is absolutely unredeemably ugly on its own - why recreate it to make Jaguar look like a 5-year old's demented dream while delerious with a bad case of the flu? Yucch!
Replying to other's comments...This theme may have been inspired by XP but it has its own independant look. It seems to take XP's best elements and makes it elegant and quite attractive.
