I have been an owner/user of iWatermark Pro for years. It is one of the most useful pieces of software I have in my graphics arsenal. The developer has been very easy to communicate with and has made significant updates over the years to make the software function better and better with each new version. Overall, it is a great piece of software, very stable, and does not eat up system resources like so many other graphics programs. I do recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues.

Solid, dependable, another great update. I have Photoshop but this app saves me lots of time because of the workflow features. Highly recommended to other photographers.

Thanks for the heads-up. According to Finder, it's actually at 1.26 at this point, but I couldn't find release notes. Where did you spot those?

Here's the link to the dev's own changelog:
http://plumamazing.com/changelog/pid/98

Newest version according to that is still 1.2.5, however in the Finder it shows up as 1.2.6 as you noted.

I downloaded a free version and was surprised seeing an Watermark in the middle asking for an registration. Nevertheless, I worked do find out if Watermark fits to my work. It does as far as this free version worked.
When trying to register I was told to buy the produkt for 30 USD ... After paying, I never got an mail with the registration code and it ended up having a pro version: Looking 1000-times more complicated, could not get the Watermark-editor-things I have done in the free version in that program. Basically nothing worked intuitive. I am totally unsatisfied with the product. Could not even find a mail adress on the company web page. Lost 30 USD, about two hours and only got frustration! I

The feature set is compelling. Application with Dropbox support, iPhoto/Aperture plug-in, standalone droplet capability, and an iOS application.

My only gripe is what appears to be lack of quality control and the lack of support. I have run into real problems and their support person is not responsive.

I was looking for software that I was able to put my copy right on all my horse photo's. I came across this and at first was very excited. I was having problems at first understanding the way to use it. I had a problem posting batches of photo's to my Facebook wall. I emailed a few time and and they were bring to help me find what the problem was. In the end, they sent me a phone number to call them. It was late at night, and I was very pleased that they were so helpful and courteous. In this day and edge it is so nice to be able to get good old personal help. They helped me resolve my problem in about 5 minutes. I love this software and would totally recommend it to ANY and ALL who ask. Thanks you for creating this software. My photo's look so great and I feel well protected that all know who took them. Much Thanks to you iWatermark! シ

Somewhere along the line Plum Amazing acquired iWatermark and rebranded it iWatermark Pro. The software is adequate and works as advertized for what it does.

My problem is with Plum Amazing's customer service, or lack of. First, I contacted them about the upgrade path from the original product. No response. Their site claimed they had no record of my owning a license fro iWatermark therefore I was not eligible for an upgrade.

Then I receive a mass email from Plum Amazing offering a 35% discount on any of their software products (expiration date January 31, 2012). I figure the discounted price for a new license is close to what I pay for an upgrade. I order a copy, enter the discount code at the appropriate time during checkout, the site verifies the discount has been accepted and voila, I get charged full price ($30).

I email Plum Amazing asking what happened to my discount. No response.

So, what am I to take away from these experiences? Plum Amazing's customer service is non-existent? They don't care?

Bottom line... software is adequate but not worth $30. And, Plum Amazing apparently only cares about making money and not their customers.

P.S. The original iWatermark license and the iWatermark Pro license now appear on my customer profile. Amazing, isn't it?

I've been using iWatermark for years, was quite pleased with the previous version and had hopes the newer one would be faster and more compatible with the Intel chips. It is much faster than before and after a minor bug was sorted out (fast response from the developers!!) I am going to again be happily using this to watermark my photos...
I haven't played with the new features yet, happy enough with the speed up so new features are just gravy.

There are still a 'few' bugs in here.
I.e. I cannot choose a single file to convert, nor a picture to watermark into a file...

Also had a crash on opening 'Edit watermark' window.
When it occurs again I'll send an error report..

Too bad for the bugs, cuz i was looking for something like this!

I am using 3.0.8 and that problem has dissapeared. Quite often I pick and choose single pictures to watermark in different ways ending up in a single folder.
I have found great use in protecting thousands of pictures ranging from Scottish lochs to the Caribbean underwater and very different backgrounds for the marks.

A watertmark is like signing your name to a photo and subtly displays it's yours.

Why Watermark?
  • Digitally sign your photos/artwork with iWatermark to claim, secure and maintain your intellectual property and reputation.
  • Build your company brand, by having your company logo on all your images.
  • Avoid the surprise of seeing your photos and/or artwork elsewhere on the Web or in an ad.
  • Avoid the conflicts and headaches with plagiarists who claim they didn't know that you created it.
  • Avoid the costly litigation that can be involved in these cases of misuse of ip.
  • Avoid intellectual property squabbles.
iWatermark maintains meta tags, uses many input/output formats and can also create thumbnails. It can batch process single files or folders and more.

"The beauty of iWatermark is its combination of ease of use and functionality. If you've ever wanted to give watermarking a try, or if you're already doing it and you'd welcome a way to do it quickly and easily, iWatermark is an inexpensive and impressive utility. I've yet to see a better solution." Dan Frakes, Macworld, 4.5 of 5 mice.
