FreeSnap is the best app for capturing pics from the screen in a wide variety of formats. Silky smooth to use and dead accurate - as well as FREE!

BEWARE: I paid and registered and the program failed to remove the not registered overprint.
I wrote the developer but they have ignored my request after saying they would fix it over a week ago.

The program "FreeSnap" has the exact same thing but for free. What is the advantage of using ScreenMenu?

Why would you pay 12 bucks for this app??
you can use these shortcuts that come w/ OS X

Command-Shift-3
Take a picture of the screen

Command-Shift-4
Take a picture of the selection

Command-Shift-4, then press Control while selecting
Take a picture of the screen, place in Clipboard

Command-Shift-4, then Spacebar
Take a picture of the selected window

People like this app because they do not want to have to memorize keys and since it is in the menu and thereby always 1 mouseclick away.
