While this might be interesting and cute, why would one want to shell out $5 and take up valuable space in their menu bar just to see their own personal ITune rating beats me, especially when their are full blown controllers available that are either free or just a little more money that do the same thing. Personally, I think we have another candidate for PerversionTracker here. FYI: www.perversiontracker.com is a site that lists totally useless software.

I used to use this and was very impressed, but when the trial ran out, I looked for other options - "iTunes rating" does the same job as this, but is free - I know which one I would choose!

Nuts! The page is gone and Rating Bar is nowhere to be found! Does anyone have a saved/archived copy I could have? I love this little piece of software. If it's gone for good, does anyone have a decent alternative?

A one-trick pony that does a simple job very well. Shows the rating of the current song and lets you change it with a click.

This is an almost trivial little menulet that is completely indispensable for rating new music. It is not really meant to show the rating on currently rated songs, but to allow extremely easy rating of unrated songs. One click, done. Its greatest feature is the lack of superfluous features. It is very lightweight and doesn't hog resources. It does only one thing, but does it very well. All other applications to do the same thing either require more clicks/button presses, or take up much more screen space. It is as simple as it could possibly be to use, and is completely stable. At $5, it may be a little "expensive" for what it does, but micropayments smaller than that are difficult to deal with as a developer.

Why not just right-click on the iTunes dock icon?
