DeepSix is a simple utility that removes some of the font-related files that can cause some design-based applications to unexpectedly quit, especially Flash and Adobe products. First, the software removes the infamous "AdobeFnt" files that seem to replicate across the system. Secondly, it removes the font cache files from the various libraries across the system. All of these files that are deleted are automatically rebuilt new when they are needed. Normally these can all be removed by hand, but that can be a tremendous time-waster to have to do various times a day in a busy environment. DeepSix will
What's New
Version 1.2: This will remove AdobeFNT.lst files, but NOT the dreaded AdobeFNT.DB files. As a side note, none of the people who have downloaded have complained to us that any version of Illustrator on their system didn't work after using DeepSix. The software is now patched to not remove this file just in case. We have also added a log feature to the software to let you know what is being removed and when it was removed. Sorry for the mistake in the previous version and we certainly hope it didn't bring any harm to anyone's system.

Oh man, this saved my a$$ bigtime.
The supposedly crashfree Macos drove me nuts with kernel panics and unexpected quits. I spent so much time looking for the cause, reinstalling stuff etc. etc. to no avail that I seriously suspected there was a hardware failure. Thank you, thank you!!!, I just run Deepsix every once in while and happy days are here again. Ten stars for If Then soft!!

but why the hell do these "nasty" files exist to begin with if they are being encouraged to be trashed???

In a perfect world, these files would not exist... but Adobe has coded something that OS X does not like: these files. Apparently they get corrupted somehow. Whatever.

But thanks to If Then, you can be easily rid of them. That's the main point.

DeepSix will remove these files for you automatically each and every time. A simple fix that even Adobe suggests in their troubleshooting forums!
