Where is The Mac Patch? There is currently a Patch for the PC version. It is a very good game but the stability and performance is really not good. Even on a G5...

It really needs a patch, it is very unstable in some places, and that is very frustrating. Otherwise i think it is a kewl game.

Re Mac demo version. The controls are really pants. The gameplay is not smooth and I can't work out how to save, anyone?

Mac version sucks. Uses X11 and is not responsive even with 1GHz G4 and 1G RAM.

This game is great! I bought it, and even though my machine has the min. requirements it was deffinitly worth the purchase. Don't let the bad demo reviews discourage you from buying it if you want. The controls take a sec to get used to but what game usually doesn't? Anyway it's worth the buy, Happy gaming!!

I just downloaded and played the demo and guess what? it sucks. I completely agree with the reviews that the other guys wrote except one thing, it's a great game, not on a mac. I got the game for Xbox and it's probably the best game i've played. The Xbox version is called Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. The story line is great and so are the gameplay and graphics. It kicks Tomb Raider's ass. Not sure why they made it so crappy for the mac

Well I downloaded 200MB of Demo but it seems to stuck after the Ivory Hunters phase is over. Program suggest the use of the whip but it did not help anyhow. Pressing the W+E keys together turns Indy's back to the wall but nothing else happens. Is this the a bug or am I missing something?

What a pity. Sorry, you simply haven't totally manual control over it. If you really want manual control, then enjoy Lara Croft (the one and only): http://www.laraslevelbase.org

WARNING! - Avoid this game at all costs. Possibly the worst game created in a very long time. The playability is horrible, general controls will send Indy in unintended directions (often plummeting him to his death), this is quite unacceptable for a game with so many jump puzzles. In combat Indy's autonomy AI seems more intent on bashing local furniture than his opponents or if trying to whip opponents he sooner whips the unarmed opponent rather than the guy with a shotgun. Also in combat, the control directions change as the camera angle changes thus making it difficult to perform certain attack maneuvers with accuracy (this constantly changing camera angle also makes it difficult to see what is happening around him). Finally the stability on the Mac platform is not good. The game has suddenly lost input responsiveness (can't move) on several occasions (must forcequit game). Full system crash at least once. And with a Radeon 9800 PRO the screen has often simply gone blank (unrecoverable, forcequit required). Summery: This game seems to have fallen victim to a focus on look and sound, with no attention given to the actual GAME. As a graphic artist myself, I would be ashamed to have my name related to this game in any way.

Works very well on a DP 2 GHz G5. I actually liked the game because it uses old-fashioned weapons like fists, the whip, etc. Very recommendable if you have the hardware. The only complaint is that it is very difficult to quit.

Great title, great idea, great expectations...but it's not worth the time or trouble to learn. Read the other posts - the controls and views are awkward. The demo is also rather persistant in wanting you to keep playing - it doesn't quit without a bunch of keystrokes. Graphics aren't bad though - maybe watching someone who's been playing it for 2-3 months might be fun.

Thanks Aspyr, for locking up my Powerbook G4 (800Mhz, running 10.3) as soon as the game launches. All I get is a black screen, with no way to quit. Have to go for the hard reboot, which then wastes another segment of my life with fsck runs... ...Don't these people test games anymore? 300+ Megabytes, and the game won't even LAUNCH? Put first things first, people.

Not worth the long download, since it crashes and logs DOS an Wine errors: 2003-12-12 11:10:27.953 indianajones[3593] -[WineMain loadWindow]: failed to load window nib file 'Launcher'. err:dosmem:setup_dos_mem Cannot use first megabyte for DOS address space, please report An unusually poor port by Aspyr. Perhaps the original code is to blame, but I don't care why; it is unplayable.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of this is Aspyr's fault. I've had the game for the PS2 for quite a while (long enough to finish it) and the camera controls/placement are awful. C'est la vie.

I'm beating a dead horse here, but the controls for this game are god awful. There is a total disconnect between the camera behind Indy and the movement of the character. For basic movement -- running around, jumping, what-not -- it isn't terrible, but the controls take a total nosedive whenever you try to do anything that requires quicker reflexes. You literally have to wrestle the camera to keep from getting clobbered. A frustrating experience that ruins an otherwise very appealing game.

I agree with Dice regarding poor movement and camera angles. I do like the fighting and use of different objetcts. Entertaining, but with the advanced minimum needed to run this game, they should've made the basic movements less cumbersome.

Boy am I glad I tried this out before buying. Okay graphics but horible control scheme. There is no sidestepping-only turning around. The camera views are really annoying. It tends to give you the worst possible view. On the other hand worked fine in my G5 1.8 single with stock vcard.

Something has to be wrong here... The I cant even get to the intro screen, the thing is jumpy and lagging all the way from the moment the 3d starts.. I've got a Radeon 9000 64MB and a Dual 1 Ghz G4, so i KNOW it's not my computer.. I even tried rebooting, same poor poor performance..
