Thanks for providing such a great tool for developers, I use this tool daily. If you're ever considering an update- a PAID update- it would be useful to be able to see which network interface certain records are being published to, and some of the other mDNS flags available such as local-only, unicast, p2p, and AWDS, etc.

Bonjour Browser is a great little tool for debugging various network problems (e.g. with a printer, Airport Express, etc...). I use it often in my job as a sysadmin, as well as at home, when troubleshooting my home network.

A killer addition to this utility would be an accompanying command-line tool, similar to dig, but for mDNS. `mdig Fallout.local.` To my knowledge, no such tool exists for the Mac.

Pardon me, please, if I misunderstood you and you are already aware of this.

There is a command-line utility testing and reporting tool for multicast DNS in the current builds of both Tiger and Leopard. Called 'dns-sd' (with sd as shorthand for Service Discovery) it's a replacement for the less-informative mDNS command. dns-sd is meant for interactive service discovery, not for scripting (its API's, however, are listed in /usr/include/dns_sd.h.)

Obviously, 'man dns-sd' will explain it far better than I.

Most Excellent!

A must have application for any developer who needs to use network services. And for the curious user, this app can even help you troubleshoot your mac and see if some app is actually working or not, you can also discover things running in the background of your mac you had no idea where running. Simply Awesome.

Warning: this build of Bonjour Browser does not appear to actually run on Jaguar. I'm still investigating why this is so. But until I figure out what's going on, if you're using Jaguar, don't upgrade yet.

AWESOME! Great!

Just the app I was looking for! I want a way of finding who else has what rendezvous services on a network...

4 stars for features and ease of use because I would like it to sort by host and tell me what their services are, not by me and sort by service.

5 for value because it's FREE!
5 for stability because it hasn't crashed yet!

I'd love to add that feature, but unfortunately it's impossible. It would require resolving every single service as I find it, which would put a massive load on the network and would also fail to update the services if the host ever changes.

This app is very useful, if you're not a network/unix expert and you're trying to figure out which ports are used by which applications in order to configure the built-in OS X firewall. In other words: without this app I wouldn't know how to find out.

*** AWK ! *** This app is too perfect to be true. Apple has this great technology, which is %100 completely useless without this app. This should be part of the basic sytem install? What on earth is Apple doing?????
THIS APPLICATION RECCOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE. (who is not a networking genius)
Thank you!
