This little replacement for Apple's FUS does not show what other users are logged in. WinSwitch (wincent.com) does this same thing, also for free, and does show the other users state correctly.

Still does not work for me. Adownload includes duplicates and confusing nested folders. Would rather just see one version of the app and one 'read me" previous problems not corrected since 11/03

There are no nested folders really. It is a zip file created in Panther, so It might have that _MACOSX folder in there, but the only other folder contains the executable (SwitchIt.menu), the readme, and links to menu extra enablers. So it sounds more like a decompression problem on your end. Try re-downloading and see if that helps. And what problems have not been fixed? Please report bugs and how to reprodeuce and I'll be more than happy to see about fixing them.

It needs to come with instructions on how to install it. I can't figure it out.

Anyone who is not seeing a list of users in the dropdown menu, am I correct in assuming you did an archive and install of panther preserving users and network settings? If thats the case, I'm working on a fix as you read this. Also, long user names in the menu are coming as well.

If you have any problem with Switchit, shoot me an email (xpander [at] adelphia.net) along with a snippet of your console log from where SwitchIt loaded, and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for trying it out!

excellent little freebie. but the check marks that indicate which users are logged in are not being reported correctly. only the current user is checked. anyone else experiencing this?

Near as I can tell, this is just a carbon copy of the regular menu item, which uses a house icon instead of the user's long name. And that makes it perfect.

Ver 1.1 works well for me. Would like to see a list of names in the pull down menu instead of just "log in window" But other than that I love the small footprint, as I too, have quite a few items in my menu bar.
