What's new in Primate Plunge

Version 1.0r2 fixed a frequent problem whereby Primate Plunge would not launch. This was to do with Stuffit Expander getting the permissions wrong for the executable, so an updated version has been uploaded in zip format.

I was following this game on iDevGames for a while - I downloaded the development versions. It's basically like NS-Shaft only with cool stuff like powerups etc, and it's REALLY addictive.

A very simple, yet excellently executed concept. Simply use the arrow keys to drop from branch to branch as they move up the screen. Some branches will reduce Monkey's health, so you need to keep an eye out, while other branches bounce you back up the screen again. Good graphics, sound, control and gameplay. Definitely worth the download. HINT - If the game fails to launch, Force Quit and try again. Works on my G3,400,B&W.

Simple concept, addicting to play. I like how the platforms vary each time, so you can't just memorize the pattern of falling on them. Plus the background music can put you in a gaming trance. One of the better iDev games in recent memory!

Pretty cool game... Has anyone played NS-Shaft? Very similar concept, and really fun with two players!

To those having trouble launching Primate Plunge - most of the problems have been to do with Stuffit Expander. Make absolutely sure have the most recent version since it is known to screw up the permissions of the executable. Or alternatively, if you know how to use the terminal, cd to "Primate\ Plunge.app/Contents/MacOS/" and then type "chmod +x Primate\ Plunge".
