Internet Call Manager advertising is misleading. Their demonstration shows that calls received while on the internet may be ANSWERED thereby disconnecting the internet connection, or a MESSAGE TAPE may be selected to play to the caller without disconnecting the internet connection.
A free sample of 8 calls is offered. Thereafter, the service costs $5.95 per month. It is also necessary to purchase a CALL FORWARDING service from your telephone company in order for Internet Call Manager to work.
As soon as the 8 "free" calls have been used up, the option to ANSWER THE CALL disappears. The only choice is to have the message tapes played to the caller. After hours of trying to fix the mysterious change in the options and finally writing their technical support 4 times about the problem, they eventually responded by saying that the ANSWER CALL option was just part of the free demo and that it was necessary to pay more if I wanted the ANSWER CALL OPTION! My advice is to STAY AWAY FROM INTERNET CALL MANAGER unless you like getting sucked in and ripped off.
