A better version of the Stratego game, with reasonable AI and 1-player mode can be found here:

http://mac.the-underdogs.org/index.php?show=game&id=588

Unfortunately, you need to play it in vMac ;)

This game was not too fun. The icons are hard to make out. The animated moves make the game much longer and add nothing to the experience. And you also can't see what pieces you've killed (which you should be able to do in real life Stratego). The icons at the top also make no sense. and the grids suck because they suggest that you can cross the water.

Anyways, the animation is the real killer though. It takes way too much time to complete a single game.

Hi Anonymous,

I'm the Graphic Designer for Stratéges and I would like to know which part of icons at top (toolbar) doesn't make sense? I'm always eager to hear other people's feedback on my artworks and I'll try to improve in that area in the future.

By the way, if you want to post a negative review, you should at least use your real name. Posting anonymously with a negative review tells me that you may have a personal problem with someone such as developer or me and don't want to reveal your identity. Just my 2 cents.

Great Graphics. No single player mode. If an AI is developed and single player mode added this will be a truly awesome game. OR conversely, if you have friends, this should be a truly awesome game. (YaY! Stratego like thing!)

Gorgeous graphics. No single player mode.

Can't wait to try it out against someone, somewhere, sometime....
