Jaxe is an open-source Java XML editor. It is designed to help developers (or advanced users) create a simple end-user interface for a given document-oriented XML language. Examples include XML schemas, XHTML strict, Docbook and DITA.

Jaxe 1.9.2 fixes a bug that turned the about menu and the open/save dialogs into French. As for the other Jaxe menus, they have always been in the system language (as long as it's English German or French). The second menubar, for element insertion, depends on the configuration file for the XML language. It will be in the language of the chosen configuration file.

It took so long to fix the language bug because I did not take seriously the "IN FRENCH" comment, which was not quite helpful, especially since only a few menu items and buttons were affected.
As for the "slow" thing, I think this is just one of the many misconceptions about Java. Had I not said it was made with Java, I'm sure this comment would not have shown up.

Looks interesting. Unfortunately a bunch of the menu items and other interface elements were in French, which I don't understand. Any chance we could get the entire thing in English?
