PrefsMenu is a little app that adds a menu to right side of the menubar allowing easy access to System Preferences. The menu can be sorted alphabetically or in categories.

A terrific little app. Sadly, it's lost some functionality in Tiger. The icons are mostly generic (all Apple are generic. 3rd party icons are still there), and you have to quit and re-start to effect preference changes.
But still, it's free and it's useful. Hopefully they'll be an update one of these days...
Seems to work quite well, but I already have AliasMenu that can do same thing w/o taking more valuable menu bar real-estate. Fruit Menu also handles this nicely. Perhaps if we had a choice of icon, I'd be more inclined to use PM over these other utilities. My 2¢
GERAT little app... I change my system prefs all day, and having the icon in the taskbar is GREAT!!! It also has a few options the System Prefs doesnt have.
If PrefsMenu doesn't respond when you click on it in the menu bar, go into System Prefs>Acounts>Startup Items and uncheck "Hide" for PrefsMenu.
This is a but in Panther, you may notice it in other apps too.

I lke this app when it works. I think it may be since the switch to Panther (but I'm not sure), but i have to lauch this app manually, because when i put it in the login sequence the icon appears in the menu bar but doesn't respond to clicks. ANyone else have this problem? "Jail" syas there's nothing to be done.
Not only is the author receptive to suggestions and comments, but the application is absolutely indispensable for getting at those system prefs quickly. Once you try it, you won't know how you lived without it!
Yep, does what it says. Unfortunately, the used font is pretty big so the pull down menu is too large to be shown at once. Also, some menu items (Ink, bluetooth) are somehow hardcoded (?!) and not based on the actual contents. Perhaps this could all be configurable with a 'Preferences...'-menu? But this is truely a nice tool, yes!
How would you rate PrefsMenu app?
