Print Center won't install the driver, as though it can't see my 3000 on ethernet. Oddly, the Epson printer utility works perfectly. Fortunately, GIMP-Print still saves my bacon. I have to wonder whether Epson actually tests its software before shoving it out the door.

I have to agree. It seems to me that Epson should make their printer work with operating systems and stop blaming Apple. After all its not up-to Apple to develop driver for every make and model out there. I have been trying to get my 3000 to print post script for over a year now and many contact to Epson too resolve the problem with no luck. I think they just try to appease people and hope they will go away and that is what they will get.

Doesn't work for me. I've installed the software 3 times and the print center can't find it in OS x 10.28

I also couldn't get it to work through a keyspan adaptor. Got my IT tech in and it now works through a print server on the network.
Changing to OSX was seemless apart from getting the 3000 to work.
This printer has given heaps of heartache over the last year re: paper pull throughs. Wanted to pitch it out the window many times. When it prints it is great......when it prints.

I called Epson a I was with them for about an hour, I had them help me with making Print Center on 10.3.3 see the driver on the system. I was using the Keyspan adapter then we tried the Belkin P to USB cable and another third party P to USB cable. Espon support told me after an hour that they can't help me anymore until I get the Epson PK-4 cable. Epson told me that this is the only way it will work.

I am using 10.3.3 and every app I tried to print with, crashes when Stylus 3000 is selected. I have the ethernet interface and it's running the latest driver.
