It's good, but if you set the refresh rate too high iChat sputters to a crash after awhile. That might just be a result of my relatively slow DSL and powerbook.

Nice idea, but I do not like the fact that I can not have a video chat while Streaming Icon is running. Even if I quit the App I still have to restart iChat to start a video chat. Maybe something I am doing wrong...

I downloaded this today and my computer has crashed with a kernel panic twice already when attempting to use iChat in Panther. I can't understand why but I wasn't having this issue until installing this application.

(Not sure why my previous comment was deleted, but it's cool because it's irrelevant now.) Everytime I run this application, people are like... is that you? Live? How did you do that!? I tell them, and then they go download it! It's quite fun... now I can have 'mini one-way video conferences!

Works great with iSync no problems at all just opend the app and it was running. Nice job I think I freaked people out with it, but that was the fun part!

Well written. No issues whatsoever, just pure enjoyment. For those of you who received "just a black box" you need to select the tab for Animation and then go back to Video Feed. Nice author too.

Nothing. When turned on it has a black screen and clicking "Video Settings" causes it to shut down. iChat up, iChat down, no changes. G4 933/10.2.8/Sony TRV 25E firewire. Works great with iChat and Yahoo Messenger.

I had the same problem with it. After the download nothing happened. Wrote a quick mail to Andreas Pardeike. Here his answer: Are you using StuffIt 8 ? If so, I just found out that there is a bug with it. Try downloading again because I changed the download from .sit to .tgz Super quick response

Just downloaded v1.1 (twice) and it fails to launch anything, or perform any action, when I double click the file within the archive.

Image cache files are stored in l ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iChat.Pictures You can download a small AppleScript at my website http://ichat.pardeike.net that will delete all cache files. Completely harmless and safe to use.

Nifty little program but be aware that it saves every single image on your hard drive from every iChat user running it. This can easily and quickly add up to tens of thousands of images. Yes, there are only 4kb each but that can add up quickly.

I have to say this: using this program eats up a large amount of bandwidth for anyone viewing your icon. No, not equal to the buddy icons size but multiplied when it changes. Otherwise a thoroughly entertaining app and somewhat cool if not boring at times.
