Great game. I love the realness of it. I'm stuck on the level where you have to save at least one of the holy warriors and bring them to the island but I can't store up my resources quick enough to produce enough guys to get them out. Can anyone help or give suggestions??

I think that Warrior Kings is a fantastic game, despite the many problems it has. You can choose either the Pagan(demon summoners), Imperial(the fairy tale "good knight") and Renaissance(scientists with cool siege weapons). I chose the Renaissance path, since on the last level you get this really cool siege weapon called the Rocket Launcher!! You also get the Bombard, an early medievil cannon, the Gunner,a light infantry unit armed with a medievil rifle, and the trebuchet, a huge catapult. Oddly, you can only move the trebuchet on the last level. Set in a fantasy medievil realm, you must avenge your father and defeat Icthyus Granitas, the Patriarch of the Empire, based in Telamagna.
The graphics are brilliant, and the sound effects are excellent. The only real problems are game crashes, but their is a patch to solve this, and the HUD. If you have units in a formation, you have no idea of the amount of unit you have in the formations! All in all, Warrior Kings is a good game, but I'm still waiting for some multiplayer players!

On the 4th level u cause the diversion by attacking the besieging army, then you send that cart to Tomas' city. When you have to rescue Tomas, and your army's been killed, don't worry. Their are some Men-at-arms by the Holy chapter on the hill. With these you'll be able to distract the defending army and send in those monks. When inside Guiscard's city, you find the gunpowder barrels and go around the city guards and blow open the weakened wall. Then you go and talk to the prison where Tomas is and he will come out. You should have 2 monks left. Use the one that isn't Artos(you can tell by the amount of hit points) and distract the remaining guards away from the wall. Then send Artos& Tomas through the blown down wall and escape. You will have to go down the hill to the water to finish the level.

You become Pagan on Warrior Kings by killing that baron on the 2nd level. This will send you on the Pagan path. 2 levels after you will get to decide either Pagan or Pagan Renaissance- I suggest Pagan cos you get Abaddon and demons.

This game is impossible to finish. I've contacted the publisher and their testing team had to cheat to finish it. HAD to cheat. Could have been a GREAT game.

If the testing team had to cheat....then why didnt they make it a little easier before they released it....

I agree it is very tough. And it does run quite slowly on my G4 1.4Ghz. I'm amazed your G5 has trouble.

I'm at level 13 currently and found the game very easy. The AI is so stupid you can even defeat the army at lvl 4 with the troops you start (just let your bowyers shoot from the top of a mountain), no need for a "distraction" ;-)

I'm glad the 1.0.x updates fixes some very nasty bugs.

This game's a lot of fun. If you are at all interested in startegy games, medieval games or war games, I strongly suggest taking a look at this game.

The demo was pretty fun, even though I was frustrated by the lack of information about game controls (Feral now has a PDF cheat-sheet on their web site). It's a pretty standard RTS game with nice 3d graphics.

But about half way through the demo scenario, the game suddenly became unplayably slow -- about 2 FPS -- on my new 1 GHz G4. I'm going to fiddle with the graphics settings some more and try again, but it doesn't look good right now. Try before you buy.

I spent all that time downloading it... even on broadband, it was a long time...
then I got it, played it for 1/2 hour -- it was GREAT! -- and then the next time I booted it, it "unexpectedly quit" right after the title page. I restarted my computer and tried again... same thing.
What's this all about?

FYI the demo is a 240 MB download, and the download site throttles you at about 250 Kbps (thats 25 KB/sec) so what should have been a 20 minute download on broadband turns into a painful 2 1/2 hours... I only hope I don't also get the crash !

All in glorious 3D.
