This is amazing. Just used it on a 1.2GHz, 14" G4 iBook. It seems to 'unlock' the dual monitor features that are present in the Powerbook line. Apple seems to disable this feature, so as to keep Powerbook sales up with professionals. Very impressed. The only problem is that the applescript is in german -- so you need to know that 'ja' means 'yes'.

Very very useful, works well on my ibook G4 12". It does not recognize the ext display max resolution, so when I plug the ibook to different monitors, sometimes the video becomes unreadable. It would be gret if would be added a hotkey to set the correct resolution even when the video is unreadable.

it's an -- lately intensive discussed -- applescript released by c't ("computertechnik", germany's no 1 computer magazine) which caused in an earlier version serious problems for owners of the ibook 600. the problem seems to be fixed right now ... and u may use it now in an appropriate way. but never forget: haxies like this are processed on your own risk, never ever forget.
