Copy Microsoft Exchange contacts to Address Book.

Overview

AddressX is completely transparent to both the Address Book and Exchange. What does that mean for you? It means that your Exchange contacts will look and act just like the other contacts already in your Address Book. Search them, export them as vCards, sync them to your cell phone and take them with you. Take full advantage of the new system-wide address book instantly. Use your Exchange contacts seamlessly from applications like Mail, iCal, and many others.

Transparent to Exchange means there is no need to install anything on your Exchange server or make changes to it or your Active Directory server. AddressX is designed so that Exchange will never even know it was talking to a Mac. Use AddressX from home or work anywhere you can reach your Exchange 2000/2003 Server on the Internet.

What's new in AddressX

  • fixed problems related to OS X 10.5 being delivered with some PPC-only libraries (even 'though OS X 10.4 has newer builds that are universal!)
  • fixed problems operating with OS X's 10.5 when the "Set access for specific services and applications" option is enabled
  • fixed a problem with "+" characters in an Exchange-server password

very interesting app - if only someone would make this to work with Eudora ... Hint to the developer, eudora is far better at email then anything else, but it has a very bad address book intergateability.

Groupcal and Address X have made it possible for me to survive very well in an Exchange environment, while enjoying the Mac features in Mail Address Book and iCal. AddressX does a great job of keeping my Address Book synched to Exchange. I could never get Address Book to sync to Exchange on its own. AddressX does it wonderfully. Moreover, Groupcal enables me to see calendar changes I make on my Blackberry - we run Blackberry Exchanges Services - and at home, thanks to DotMac, to have my work schedule show up in iCal. So, great products and very responsive customer support, very quick patches.

Excellent program, makes adressing an envelope as easy as slicing a pie.

ummm. no. sorry. eudora is merely okay. ever try to import entourage data? didn't think so. contextual support in eudora is pitiful at best. otherwise it is an "okay" mail client. and what the hell is the deal with the default to annoyingly announce "no new mail"? ghaaaahhhh!!! when eudora catches up to more recent mail clients, we'll talk. ;P
