For more then a month(several (an answered) emails to the developer) I was trying to get help.
I like this program, but lately without any reason every time when I open it - it disappears . It's flashing for a second and it's gone.
I need help.

Love this!

Isn't it great, once in a while, after trawling through scads of tedious software on MacUpdate, to come across someting actually useful for a change?

Thanks dev, keep up the good work. I'll be watching this one closely.

Very helpful app. I used it several times a week to quickly find phone numbers or addresses without the bother of having to both open and later close the address book. Every now and then I use it to quickly open the address book to a specified name when I need more detailed information not shown by ABMenu.

I only wish the app would give me a choice to open my Entourage address book but alas it doesn't support Entourage at this time.

That's a great addition to Apples Address Book. Love it!

For future versions I would like to see a Spotlight-like search interface instead of the search inspector and that it is possible to print envelopes or labels from an opened contact instead of printing all contact information as a table.

Great work! Many Thanks!

I've just installed it and it seems to work pretty good on my 10.6.2 system.
It does what it claim to do.
Personally I don't like the fact that when you select a contact, it open the contact's window in the bottom left part of your screen; I would like to have the possibility to customize where to open the contact's windows.
Very cool the possibility to have the contact's windows in HUD style.

ABMenu was a great application, but under 10.6 it doesn't work.

Excellent free app. Quite similar to the $8 iAddressX. Upside, a bit faster and even more user friendly. And free. Downside, doesn't have a couple of features (like auto-dial) that iAddressX has.

But overall a terrific, super easy to use, fast link to Address Book info.

Within 30 seconds I could confirm that this little utitlity was 5 stars.

Great tool......

it's quick, small, and flexible. I like that I can adjust # of recent contacts, turn off the alphabetical list or groups, and change sort by dispay order.
Very useful that I can launch AB from the menu. Recent contacts are very useful, something AB doesn't have.

Bonus: I can make a new contact from the menu, and edit contacts without opening AB.

Everything works with or without AB launched!

WANTS: to be able to adjust the location of the menu item, not critical, but I prefer it closer to the calender, or at least further from the HELP menu in apps that have lots of menus. (menu meters, a 3rd party app can do this, even though many 3rd party cannot.)

(I can't speak about stability - only used it now for 10 minutes)

This app is great, I just wish that you could sort by nickname. I have 5 Chris' and Johns', etc listed, and it isn't always easy to find the right one.

Only the first couple of letters show up in the categories. I've got half a dozen "kids friends" entries, but only the one starting with "A" shows up.

I'm sorry, but what exactly do you mean by "kids friends." Do you mean adding the friend field to a card?

Trying to download a copy of this version, I end up with a 4KB gzip'd dmg file. StuffIt pretends to expand it but doesn't. ZipIt gives an "unexpected eof error".
