Wow... if theres one thing that really, REALLY, ticks me off its people listing demos or limited versions as "free" software. Without paying for a license, this app only works with 10 address book entries and that is NOT freeware. Free means 100% free, no strings attached & fully functional.

I'd strongly recommend that the developer change their listing on Macupdate before they become considered an underhanded, dishonest, "bait & switch", untrustworthy, illigitimate, low character con artist and just a flat out bold faced liar.

Like I said... this is something that REALLY pushes my buttons.

This version is seeCard does, what I searched for already some time. I now can take my address book data with my iBook - without complex workarounds.
The interface is simple - just some windows - but requires in fact no configuration.
Although I found no bugs - it simply does what's written - I'll continue testing some time before installing as central AB server.

Version 1.0 is great and a quite useful tool to manage address books on several distributed macs.

Feature request submitted by user regarding release 1.0 will be implemented within 2 weeks:

- Enhance seeCard to export OS X address books as e.g. comma separated file (csv), so that user's can read address book data into apps like AppleWorks or Excel.

More feature requests are welcome!

seeCard Rendezvous with complete OS X Address Book sharing is some days away from next release.
If someone is interested in receiving a free individual license in exchange for some feedback, please contact software@turingart.com .

Furthermore:
If seeCard user's ARE visible in Browser window, but DO NOT connect (show remote data) when selected, then please check your firewall setting on your machines. Please allow port 9879 for incoming connections. seeCards tries to figure out a free port, but if all ports are firewalled, no connection is possible at all.
Next release will get some more user-feedback in this situation.
In any case, software@turingart.com is happy to help you!

I use seeCard for some time in our company to find people related to some specific project. Since our address book tends to have some wrong data :-( , seeCard helps to get correct contact information.
Please include internet-sharing of seeCards (for home use).

Sadly it doesn't work at all. It would be great to have a Rendezvous app to share the address book over a network (and I mean an entire address book). This app could see another version of itself on another computer but could not transfer info and quite quickly got the spinning pizza - so the app goes in the bin.
