After downloading and trying to run the package, I get an error message that say's "the preinstall script was either not readable or not executable".
I am running OS 10.2.8.
I REALLY miss this OS 9 feature but it doesn't want to install on my G4 gigabit with an upgraded processor (Powerforce G4 1.2 Dual).
Is it because of the upgrade?
When set schedule to "daily", at 18:00 for example.
1st day, at 9:00 manualy turn on, and at 17:00 manualy turn off. Then at 18:00 ResurrXtion works good, and turn on automaticaly.(some programs work automaticaly.)
2nd day, at 9:00 manualy turn on, and at 19:00 manualy turn off. This day ResurrXtion is not work, because computer is already turn on at 18:00.
3rd day, at 9:00 manualy turn on, and at 17:00 manualy turn off like 1st day.
But, this day, ResurrXtion DO NOT WORK at 18:00.
My computer is eMac 800Mhz, OS X10.2.6
I can only support what I own, and that's 3 G4's (Cube, Ti15, Al17, and a DP 500 at work). The rest of the support comes soley from Apple documentation and user reports. I wish I had the hardware in hand but I don't.
The shutdown feature I'll be looking into once I get back from WWDC.
I can't tell you how many times I redesigned the interface, and I still don't like it. But like you said, you don't have to open it often.
The interface could be cleaned up quite a bit, but it's not like this is an app I have open all the time. Fantastic otherwise.
C/Shouldn't something like this be a prefpane?
To do a shutdown at a certain requires no additional software. You can use a cron scheduled event to either trigger an app (or apple script) to shut down the computer, or use a terminal command to do it (quick and dirty method).
This is good. The feature never worked for me under OS9, lets see if it works now :)
I usually leave my powerbook on all the time but it runs very hot when it is on and i think it deserves a rest. Thanks for making this app
Nice that you can now move it, as this belongs in the Utilities folder. But the ReadMe file needs an update, as it still says you can't move it. Also, an uninstaller would be nice. This seems to put something into the startup routine, but darned if I can find it.
How would you rate ResurrXtion app?
