I installed the 1.2.8 patch and it totally messed up my Logitech MOMO feedback. Now It doesn't even recognize the wheel; only reports everything as pedals.
I have done no troubleshooting to date but the Logitech hardware is fine (works with 1.2.7 installed on my alternate boot drive).

Just a warning. Backup first!

Hi

I have this game and today in 2008 I decided to try to run it. It doesn't run. I have version 1.0.0 and am looking for the 1.2.8 update. Does anyone know where it is? Aspr doesn't have it and all links on find on the web don't seem to be active.

thanks

NASCAR 2003 Season.

Lots of Fun. Runs like a champ on my G5. Makes me want to go get a steering wheel.

The demo of Nascar 2003 is not in the slightest sluggish on a new PB 12" 1GHz. 768MB RAM. (With the 512k L2 cache and the FX5200 card.) Amazing fun - not the kind of thing to be playing on battery power, though. Almost good enough to make me go out and get a force feedback wheel and some pedals...

Downloaded the game, depacked it, looked for documentation (not even a readme file, but lots of .ini files, indicating that this is a PC game), ran the program, found it *very* sluggish on a Dual G4/867 with 256MB RAM.
Developers! -Please kick your boss, and tell him that you need to make this Macintosh NATIVE. You know, I often see your banner showing a "mad" Macintosh + Aspyr = a happy Macintosh. Well, my Mac stays mad! :)

Runs good on my G5 at 1792x1344 maxed, but that isn't much; I used to get 50fps at the same settings on a beige g3 uped to a g4 400 with no sound on. (now i get 80 up to maybe 100)

What is the point of downgrading the demo to let anyone run it with a Performa? Then you'll just go out, buy the gamne and complain it runs poorly on your machine and you'll never buy a game from *X* company - hello?

my g4 350 with ati 8500 should be able to play this demo to see if i should buy it but it wont let me, how stupid for a demo, someone with a lesser vid card and 50MHZ faster cpu gets all the fun even though i can run it faster.
cant play cant buy if this was any good i would probably upgrade my cpu, but i will never know.
are not system requirements to be recomended not forced on demo,s, some upgrades show up in system profiler at slower speeds, i guess no go for those also, stupid policy they should change.

Well, as a counterpoint to all the whiners: iMac G4 800 MHZ, 1024 MB RAM, nVidia GeForce2 MX 32 MB VRAM -- runs great; nice graphics and sound; lots of controls to configure; supports force-feedback (though I don't have the hardware for it). Easier to learn than F1 Champoinship Season. If you have a newer machine and like racing games, get it.

THIS comment is directed at the person who posted that it is a bad idea to limit what Macs this software will run on, OK?? sure, let people try it (that don't have the hardware to play it)... ha, the dev's don't wanna hear the noise from the people who don't have the iron to push this game... and i have personally read more reviews trashing perfectly good games JUST because the people don't have sufficient horsepower... Do you want your Formula One vehicle (or Nascar vehicle or Indy vehicle) driven by a paraplegic? no offense to those who are physically challenged, but really: the dev's want their game demo'd on Macs that can properly demo it. SIMPLE.
