EyeTv is a great idea, and the extecution isn't bad. The real problem is stability, it crashes 5 times before starting up! But when it does work, it works just like it should. With some further bug fixes this could really be a great little app for anyone who wants to control eyetv from the comfort of your bed with a powerbook or ibook! =)
I would love if someone made something like this for pocketpc or palm...either bluetooth or wi-fi. Now that would be cool.
As this software has been discontinued, I hope it's okay to mention an iOS app I've written to control EyeTV on OS-X, called "MyTV Remote". It's not free, but I'm unlikely to ever cover development costs.

Other reviews said that this program was unstable. It might be the recent EyeTV 1.3 program release, or it could be the recent OS X 10.3 Panther OS that I'm using, but I've never had a crash. Great idea, check out their homepage and try using it with CyTV which streams the EyeTV content, it makes for some nice wireless TV if you have airport and a laptop.
