Well , I think this app has a future but it certainly needs more work... it eats 33% - 50% of my Cpu ... I think that sux... for a peer to peer sharing app . I dont know if it is the soulseek network, but dot find very much files also. The app does not include any documentation so I figured out how to use it for my self...

tried SoulseekX 0.2.7 and first of all it would crash when running alongside Limewire. After closing limewire it gave me: 'could not connect to server' message... helpfiles suggested the server address might need changing, so I changed the server address to server.slsknet.org (that is the address that solarseek uses) and got the response: your version is too old. You wont be able to chat or search. Guess it is not worth downloading until the next version

It probably works the best out of any Mac SoulSeek client I have tried. One thing that really stands out is I seem to be able to browse way more users files then other clients. I get a lot of connection errors using other clients. The interface is really cluttered though. Especially in the download. It's cool the way it displays search results as collapsable folders but when it displays the folders full paths, they never fit in the window. The columns need to somehow be divided better or more distinct as well. Right now it's the main client I am using though because it does seem to work pretty well. Looking forward to updates.

"Could not connect to server" Another useless app that claims to be p2p but in actuality is a pile of bits with no purpose.

glad to see that the dev actually does development on this app. unfortunately it still is of no real use, if you are used to the PC version. finding files is tedious if you can find files at all, brwosing user files is not possible and i doubt that this app lets you share your own files. i really do hope that one day the X version has the same functionality as it's PC pendant. considering the utterly slow process, i'd rather recommend getting into the unix version or use VPC. hey dev, get on with it. soon.

Connects fine using my peecee ID. However, every queued selection I try to download so far gets "remotely aborted" instead of queued.

I got the program to connect, even using my PC user name and password. Under Preferences, you must enter the current version number being used on the PC platform. You can determine that by visiting www.slsk.org and clicking on Download. They list the current version number there. As of 8/18, the current version number was 149. Now, I can connect, but I still can't find anything near the number of results I see when using Soulseek on PC.

what is wrong with this? im running a standard mac os x emac fully upgraded and this thing just refuses to log on to the server.....right next to it i have VPC running soulseek under a different l/p and that ...as allways...runs perfect.....but this hasnt gotten past "cant connect to server"... i waited for this software from the last version to say this but it sucks when you try somthing that doesnt work and you try to fix that but then figure out its not you its the software..... weak. soulseek needs to be on a mac....most mac people have no idea what theyre missing.....
