Neat idea, but no applications are in the update database yet :(

From what I can tell, this application never even actually attempts to contact the server. I have LittleSnitch installed, and it doesn't ask for permission to connect...

This application is similar to others already available. Some of the others suffer from the same problem as they require the developer to register in order for the product to work. That is why none of the products that require registration seem to work. In reality, unless the registration is handled by a major player, such as Apple or follows an industry agreed to format into an independent database (similar to cddb), registration is not going to happen. That is why this product will probably never leave the gate. Aside from that this product has a number of shortcomings: - Once started, it can't be stopped. - No support documentation. - No documentation at all, - No way to open windows once closed, other than to restart. - Indications that it will be shareware but no indication as to cost. I have around 400 applications on my machine. Not a single one was recognized. Currently this product amounts to nothing more than a demo of its GUI. It does nothing except take up time, space, and create frustration. It is worse to have a tool which does not work than not to have the tool at all.

Yes, this would be an interesting application, but with no applications being listed in the database, it's fairly useless. Not one application was listed for me...
