The app still seems to launch on Sierra - the CMD RERTURN shortcut works, but it doesn't show up in the menu. I haven't tested it yet though because I have Spotlight indexing disabled because of another issue so I can't tell for sure. But the app interface seems to open.

A total rip off! Doesn't even open. Bit ironical really; an app launcher that doesn't launch itself. Useless contacting support because Chronos doesn't have any. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I got a $20 sale offer, and decided to try it. Honestly, it was amazingly quick at indexing 2100+ apps (about 3 seconds) and works quite well. I like the automatically associated documents and the multiple "mini-docks". That said, it won't index anything on a drive that isn't the root-drive, or at least it won't for me. I have seldom (but not -never-) used apps moved off to a second drive. I added that into the program's search profile, but it simply never indexed it. I did a complete reset of the database and a few more things, but it simply won't take the other volume. An indexer that won't index anything but the root drive isn't particularly useful, frankly. I did submit a support ticket. I don't expect them to respond, since i have several other tickets open, some for over a year, I believe, without response. But I hope they'll at least read it, and issue version 5.1 with this glaring oversight fixed. Perhaps second drives are working for others, but certainly not for me. Too bad, as there are some nice features here. Back to LaunchBar...

The application has too many bugs to continue using it, the most frustrating being that the application resets preferences after a shutdown. I tailored which apps I wanted to show in the launch window, but after a shutdown all apps are visible - including preferences, installers, etc.. Another issue is the application not working at times. I've posted several trouble tickets to the developer's support page on this specific topic. There's been no response or action on the issue for nearly a year. I have removed LaunchMagic. Ironically, F10 (which LaunchMagic replaced because the Developer stated it wasn't Mavericks compatible) works on my MacBook Air running Mavericks.

This is NOT a bit of Malarkey as the the preceding poster has stated. I just went to the Developer's web site and viewed the Video that instructs you how to use it. It is amazing how customizable this app launcher is.I would gladly pay for it if it were not as expensive as it is. I am amazed at all the things it will do. It has a dock where you can put various apps in. It also has built in shortcuts and if you don't like them you can install your own short cuts. I have Launch Bar and also the Tidbits instructional Manual but Launch Bar is extremely complex to learn all the many features. I am presently "sitting on the fence" as to decide to purchase it. I really like its many features but as I stated before it is an expensive app. I also like the "blaster" feature of this app. Thisfeature is so cool I just might purchase it. In any event KUDOS to the developer for creating a fine launcher.

$30 for this piece of malarkey?! I had great memory of v1 so just to kill some time tried this out. I couldn't be bothered to get beyond the first 5 minutes during which I noted: 1) Once invoked you can't get anywhere without choosing an item. Real PITA when you have a hot corner set and accidentally hit it. 2) It uses the entire screen leaving only the bottom strip area for a dock. And then there's the memory hit: 361MB VirtualMemory 519MB Real! That's absurd. I admit to being tempted to actually use it for a few hours to see if it blew up my 8GBs.

This at F10 Launch 3.0.6 is a lot more recent than comments below. F10 launched from System Preferences as a PrefPane alright but showed over 700 items in its count... 'impossible I thought'. I then set about expunging "No Entry" sign apps. It wanted my OK to delete. No OK action. Then that was that, frozen screen. Not even Force Quit registered the app. The other F10 controls 'honked'. I could not even launch Activity Monitor to stop any app. It required a hard shutdown to get my Mac back. I checked Sys Prefs for F10, disabled it and quit Sys Prefs I then dragged Applications folder F10.app onto App Delete and went ahead and deleted. In unhidden ~/Library I checked the F10 PrefPane was gone and the .plist and AppSupport/Chronos etc... Yes, AppDelete did a complete expunging of all F10 elements. These days with funky Trampoline and Lion's Find apps I have no need of F10. "It has bitten the dust for ever from my Mac Pro 10.7".

F10 Launch studio has been around for ages, Version 1 was very slick and stood out from other launchers. F10 felt good, was easy to set up and only took over the screen when activated and disappeared when not needed. For me it's biggest strength was the ability to group applications as required by the user. I had groups for Office, Internet, imaging, projects and so on. Grouping applications in this manner allows one to quickly bring up F10 and go straight to the application required. Version 2 of F10 has seen an great deal of good development. the application again looks very modern and offers interaction with application files. Setting up F10 is again easy and not time consuming, applications not required can be filtered out. For reasons only known to the developers grouping applications has been reduced to a single row in selectable tabs with all applications remaining visible above the row. This change has for me greatly reduced the capability and desirability of what should be an excellent application. If it Isn't Broken, Don't Fix It comes to mind, because in this instance that is exactly what has happened. Design of function is also true here. For what it's worth F10 users should unite and ask the very nice developers to look again at bring back the much loved full screen grouping of applications.

I WANT to like the new version because I just purchased it. HOWEVER: These are my first impressions after digging around in it for a day. I am very disappointed as it seems now that it is just a GLORIFIED . There is no way that I see to "build Sets" of icon groups the way the old version did by filling the entire screen. That WAS the reason I used F10 in the first place. Now, the only way I see to build sets of icons IE: INTERNET= Safari, Transmit, Mail is to drag them to the new "Dock" I don't want "Docks" I want similar groups of large icons on my main screen-Not all of them unless I click on the tab the way it used to be that said ALL. Am I missing something Here??? Bummer.

This works well for me. But it needs some way to stay at the keyboard when choosing a document from the document sidebar. Until then, LaunchBar or QuickSilver are far more efficient to use plus they both have many more features.

Be sure and check the documents pane out on this before you purchase or upgrade. Although it seems like a great feature, there appears to be some garbled text and messed up graphics at the top where it's trying to show me the document count. I've sent a message to the developer. My only other beef is that when you have a lot of applications the icons refreshing a bit slowly. Other than these things, it looks like an improvement to the previous version.

I love this app. As a matter of fact it is the best launch app on the Mac (for me). HOWERVER it does not work in all spaces. Just in one desktop. Darn.

One of the most elegant launchers available for Mac OS X. Quick and versatile and - not to forget - beautiful. To value this, they should really update their screenshots on the website. And the default key F10 is also a bad choice for systems utilizing Exposé... So I suggest a change of name, too. Other than that, it's a fine piece of software that honors Mac OS X's visual style.

The best application of its kind. A real time saver. You no longer need to search you hard drive for that seldom used application, file, or folder. Use it for 30-days and you won't want to be without it.
