All Thumbs is a powerful thumbnail/thumbnail website creation system. It can create thumbnails from user-defined portions of an image or it can create thumbnails in the typical manner of reducing the size of an image by a certain percentage or to a certain size. Features include:
  • Image compression and four image formats: JPEG, PICT, PNG, Photoshop
  • In-program resizing and image rotation.
  • Creates thumbnail index pages as well as pages for each image, if desired.
  • Easy-to-create website templates offer complete conformity to your current site design.
  • Easily regenerate
What's New
Version 1.3:

New Features

  • New, more convenient interface, which includes many cosmetic enhancements
  • Added option to give titles and descriptions to images (which can be included in the website)
  • Added a fit within option to the thumbnail creation options, to make thumbnails fit into defined bounds
  • Added option to give a drop shadow or solid border to thumbnails
  • Save option added so you can save thumbnail sets incase you ever want to modify and/or regenerate the sets at a later date
  • Added template commands to insert the URLs of Previous, Next, and Index pages separately so you can customize the look of those links (i.e., use an image as a link instead of a generic text link)
  •  Added a help menu with a link to the Reference Guide (which is now contained within the All Thumbs application for convenience)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused font faces and sizes to not be saved in the preferences.
  • Fixed a number of bugs involving watermarking.
  • Changed command key for Select All from Z to A. Of course it should have been A all along...I don't know what happened there.

Downloaded, unstuffed and launched the program. Shareware message and count down window opened. Waited. Clicked "not yet"

Drag-and-dropped folder of 8 images, worked.

Set destination folder to a new folder via the select button, worked.

Selected "Fit within" 200x200 for thumbs. Selected drop shadow border.

Selected jpeg high quality (4th of 6 quality settings) and "Reduce original images" (which does not actually alter the original images themselves.)

Wanted to set options for the html pages but the "Site options" button on the toolbar remained grayed-out.

Clicked "Create Set" and got pictures and thumbnails with no html. Then the "Site options" button on the toolbar became available. Interesting approach.

Filled in the description, set table info data, selected File Name and Image Title to show in table cells etc. Chose Default template, generate html pages for each image and clicked Generate.

It generated index.html - thumbnail aspect ratios were not preserved. Clicking any of the thumbs resulted in a "File not found" error - the links specify image1.html as the target but the actual file was named "image1" by the program - no filename extension (i.e. .html) was evident. Added the .html by hand and tried again. Worked.

Checked the preferences in the app, HTML page extension field is set to .html (and it worked on the main page, just not the secondary pages.) Hmm.

Despite not having selected dimensions and file data to show (anywhere) it did. Hmm.

Tried again with alternate choice of not generating htm for each image and got a single page (with filename extension.) All thumbs loaded the appropriate jpgs in a generic browser window.

Overall, mildly confusing interface, some preferences don't seem to be honored, secondary image pages in html aren't named properly. Not worth the price, thanks anyway. Drug program folder to the trash and wrote this review.
