Eject a troublesome disk.   Free

Ejection Seat allows you to eject a troublesome disk, especially one that the Finder claims is "in use." It will tell you what application is using the disk, and can then force quit and/or force eject the disk. After running this application, the Finder may no longer recognize other disks inserted into the same drive. Force quitting the Finder, logging out and back in, or rebooting the computer should fix this. This application is just meant for quickly removing a disk when you don't want to reboot.
Requirements
PPC, Mac OS X 10.0 or later

This software is not for 10.5 and it is a .sit application so
I would forget it. I could not install it.

error messages says:

Unable to expand Ejection Seat 3.sit,
Stuffit archives are not supported.

and yes I have Sufffit 13.0.3, the latest stuffit and it didn't work with the old one either.
I wish this stuff was cut from the site.

Sometimes with Norton's installed, the normal Eject doesn't always work. If you're trying to eject a Zip disk, you'll get the the "can't eject disk cause it is use" For the most part Seat will eject the Zip. On the first try you may get a type 1 error. Seat will eject floppies and CD's too
