ScopeDriver allows you to control a Celestron, Gemini, iOptron, Meade Autostar or LX200 astronomical telescope with your Mac. An advanced 'Find' feature helps you locate tens of thousands of sky objects by Common Name, Bayer/Flamsteed designation, Constellation, and much more. Other features include Observing Lists, Observing Log, unlimited Observing Sites, Time Synchronization, and many others.
What's new in ScopeDriver
Version 4.0:
Support Added for Celestron and iOptron Mounts
Modern Celestron model support was largely completed with the assistance of Bob Creelman, who worked many hours testing ScopeDriver's interface and functionality, creating Observing Lists, and allowing us to remotely connect to his instrument across the continent. Bob's reliable testing proved instrumental in supporting modern Celestron models.
Connect via IP Address
Added Connect via IP Address... to Connect Window's Port pop-up. This allows connecting to telescope interfaces over a local area network (LAN) that support TCP/IP connections.
Universal Azimuth and Altitude Support
All telescopes now may use Land or Alt-Azimuth objects, and may be slewed to either Equatorial (right ascension and declination) or Horizontal (azimuth and altitude) coordinates.
Wow, what a cool app. Haven't used it yet, but just knowing that I can toy with a serious telescope remotely sounds like a blast!
After I've tried it I'll be sure to write a review.
Thanks, Devs!
Worked right away. Easy to set up and easy feature set. Sync'd my computer's clock to my LX-90's 497 autostar controller without a hitch.
Wonderful product.
