Pixinator is utility software for Mac OS X to help easily identify pixel defects on LCD displays. Pixinator presents black, white, and RGB backgrounds to make pixel defects stand out, has an intuitive interface for instantaneously switching or smoothly fading between backgrounds, allows simultaneous testing on all attached LCD screens, and doesn't take up much space (only 48k!).

What's New in Pixinator

Version 1.2 adds the following:
  • automatic cycling and fading between background colors to further aid in identifying bad pixels, wherein pixel defects will show up as small dots that appear and disappear.
  • better support for multiple monitor environments.
  • improved help screen.
