In a vain cry for common sense, could we keep DL names the same as their contents?

Ho5? Is this the Pick a Prostitute game, I've been hearing so much about?

The game itself is quite addictive but the graphics got a tacky and unnecessary makeover from the Classic original.

I can't say how many wonderful hours I have spent battling species only differentiated from myself by temperature an gravity.

I have the older version, not sure it is worth $30 to get PCish graphics and a few more spaceships I can find no use for.

Now a few wormholes and 5th dimension portals, might convince me.

Still works under Leopard, still fun, but still overpriced at $30 per license. This makes a multiplayer game prohibitively expensive. Make it $5 or $10, and you might get some life out of it again.

This game is fantastic. Having played it through almost all of its builds, I can say that it stays true to it's original addictive experience while getting better with each incarnation.
Grousing because you can't find pirated serial number is a little childish. If you like the game, pay for it.
I can attest that even the demo mode is quite a thrill and being able to unlock the higher levels of your attribues is very gratifying.
My only gripe is that the sound effects get quite annoying after a few hours.
Still, you can get extremely engrossed in this one very quickly and that's always good.

Complete waste of money. Old version 4.0.5 was perfect, the new release isn't worth 10 bucks. More like 3.99. Agree with other posters

Simple but very elegant strategy game. The game designers clearly put their priority on gameplay (at the expense of features that would increase the playing time or graphics that would clutter the screen); the game is easy to use and well-balanced. It takes a while to get accustomed to the graphics, but once you do they're reasonably informative. The easy network play is also a plus.

What a hideous rendition of a classic Mac game. My mouth was watering when I heard that Ho 5 was out. Now my stomach is turning. Sheesh, who designed the new version and said "wow that's good"? because they should be shot. I'll stick with Ho 4.0, pound for pound, one of the best around.

My star ratings seemed to get all screwed up, so I'm posting this to average them out...

Beermouse, it's not a shoot-em-up, it's a turn-based strategy game, for crying out loud! Like chess, with a sense of humor, resource management, technology advancement, unit improvements, etc. etc. I've played it off and on since version 2, more hours than I care to admit. Can't wait to see what they've done in this update!

Love it. As has been said before, it is a bit of a hick-programmed game. The graphics could do with some work, admittedly, because reusing that goddamned hat, along with those little google eyes has really had me at the end of my chain. I anticipate buying this game, because of the limitations of the demo.
However, for a demo, it's a fairly good cripple. Not bad enough to make me ditch it, and not too functional as well.
Really, really dig it.
And my bet is that the dude who posted first was one of the devs.

Incredibly fun strategy game with fiercely competitive AI and deep gameplay.
