Xmas lights? I seem to have fallen into a time warp- the last review of this app was way back in December 2007- and.. isn't it April?

If you're looking to put Christmas lights on your screen, then you'll like TreetopLights. https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16774/treetoplights There's plenty of options for the lights around the screen, and you can even decorate a tree as you like and have it on top all the time. Drag it to wherever you want it. It's working fine on OS X 10.7.6 Intel 64, so don't let the fact that it hasn't been updated in years scare you off.

Site seems to be gone. Too bad, this was a fun Christmas toy!

I'm sure it would be appreciated by all users if the developer could add an option for surrounding lights like Festive Lights widget. This would make this application perfect.

Well on my (just) non-intel mac version 1.5.3 works fine under 10.5, whereas 1.5.6 does not.

Works fine on my iMac Intel 10.4.11. Thank you, developer, for making it compatible with tiger again.

Thanks for adding 10.4 support back. There is a minor bug with changing the blink delay as it doesn't update without a restart. Very very minor, It's just great to see back!

Works on a MacIntel running 10.5.1 Although the lights given are a bit bland and offer little colour combos. I can't complain because the developer has given us all the opportunity to make our own any time we wish! Unlike others that make you pay for alternative colours or bulbs, this one is FREE ! Thanks for the great gift Doug! Keep up the great work!

Did you really get rid of 10.4 support? Please say no. Or at least give a link to an older version please.

Annoyingly, the archive has incorrect contents. The ReadMe file refers to the changes in version 1.5.4, but the application supplied is the old 1.5.3, which fails to launch under Leopard. The developer's site also appears to be unreachable at present. I hope the archive gets fixed soon.

An OK little program that doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well. The best part is it's free, as compared to Holiday Lights, which is still a Classic app, I believe.

Cool program. Just two requests: - Offer different blink patterns (random, chasing, etc.). All blinking in unison looks boring to me. - Allow the lights to be placed along any edge of the screen. Hanging right under the menu bar is either hidden by windows or toolbars for me, or it blocks window title bars or toolbars, depending on whether I put the lights on top or not. Neither option makes using this very practical. But if I could put the lights along my Dock edge, that would be cool, because the only thing to obscure them there would be the Dock.

XMas Lights looks really great on the desktop... Good work! But I wish the app icon wouldn't show in the dock while running.

The pref pane can't be closed until a change is made; visually, it is rather pathetic.

I put this little app, Sno and iTunes in the background for music and snow and I just about have duplicated Holiday Lights for 10.2. Happy Holidays
