VirtualLab Data Recovery can recover lost data back from your drives. It works on any drive that is not physically damaged (eg; clicking noises, etc). If you have deleted files or a formatted drive, damaged operating system, or partition damage, VirtualLab can still recover your data! Even when the operating system can't 'see' the drive (eg; not in the drive list or mounted on the desktop), VirtualLab can still recover your data.

VirtualLab did not work at all, yet another randomly purchased app worked perfectly. Almost impossible to contact them. If any of my contacts did go through, they have yet to get back to me. I think they are fly-by-night con artists. The s/w doesn't work, yet you can't get your money back. Because they're in Bulgaria, good luck taking any legal action against them. Stay away!
After having a hard time searching for the best Data Recovery, I finally found VirtualLab. I am having trouble retrieving my deleted mail on Microsoft Outlook, but then, VirtualLab helps me to retrieve it. Many thanks!
I am in the process of recovering just the one folder which is most important to me right now and VirtualLab Data Recovery worked like a charm- you have no idea what a relief this is
It is very effective and very easy to use. I got all my data back after I had to format one of my external hard drive. In my opinion, VirtualLab Data Recovery is the best program out there
I can't believe how fantastic the VirtualLab Data Recovery program worked!
I thought I'd lost all my photos, but I recovered 95%+ of them. I feel like a complete Wally, as I lost the photos in the process of backing up onto my new external hardrive. I re-partitioned the drive on my macbook, thinking that I'd backed-up on to the external, when I found only empty folders (I didn't verify).
So I had to recover from the re-partitioned drive.
I think the trick is once you've discovered the mistake, don't interact with the computer until you're ready to do the recovery.
Thanks for the great software.
If you need a file recovery for your tool kit & for regular/emergency usage VirtualLab Data Recovery is the best you can get. For a usb drive, a backup drive, the pc's drive, wherever, this is what I use now. I tried different free apps for this but nothing can compare with how VirtualLab gets the data back.
It does its job better then most that could cost the same or more. After I purchased VirtualLab Data Recovery I realized that I will not need another software for data recovering, this one works perfect.
VirtualLab Data Recovery works with large HDD as well. I tried it on my 2 TB hard drive and it worked perfectly. I had one partition that was formatted and I needed some files back from that place.
It works with step by step and it’s so easy to use, I really like this program.
VirtualLab Data Recovery is BRILLIANT, BTW. I just recovered files from a defunct Mac PC. I thought I had no way of recovering, and that was written over accidentally by iTunes. I mean, it's brilliant. Gigabytes of lost mp3 lectures. I can't thank you enough for inventing this software. You're better and faster than DriveSavers, ten days faster, and 1/50th the cost.
I’ve been around computers all my life and always want the best out of everything I have. When it comes to data recovery softwares, the best I found so far has to be VirtualLab Data Recovery, it’s fast, does the job it needs to do and it’s a little too easy to use. I recommend this software to anyone who wants to get back all the deleted files or files lost after formatting. It also works well on my macbook air

The fact that it feels and works so efficiently impressed me. When I first ran it I thought for sure it couldn't do what the others failed to do, yet it did. I’m really glad I purchased VirtualLab Data Recovery.
Wow!!! I have tried to wipe my hard drive with several software using multiple algorithms only to find that your VirtualLab Data Recovery could recover it. I guess I am not sure if this is a curse or a blessing ;) but I think you should develop a deletion program that even YOU cannot recover. You guys did a great job!!
When I saw my files being deleted by my little brother I thought they will be lost for good. Even though I pressed cancel, a big part of my files were already lost. Thank God I found VirtualLab Data Recovery and used it to get all my data back. I really like this program and will keep it in my PC at least until my kid brother will learn not to delete random folders
I bought my friends MAC a couple of days ago and cleaned it all up. Two days after that, he came back to get some of his files he forgot to save. He was upset when I gave him the news, but fortunately I could get all his files back with VirtualLab Data Recovery and put a smile on his face.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by having it. Most of us are human, we make mistakes and this can take care of those mistakes, or another app could inadvertently delete a file, whatever. Every one of us should have a file recovery method in place. VirtualLab Data Recovery is for now a no brainer. Try it.
I’m not much of a computer person but I’ve got to say that the people at VirtualLab Data Recovery are great; I purchased their product after some of my files got deleted and needed some support in working with it.This is really a nice piece of software, works very good and the support team is wonderful
My testimonial would be very similar to most on this site, so I won't get into the weeds with the details. Bottom Line - After two days of trying countless tricks on the web to recover data from my corrupted hard drive, I finally gave VirtualLab Data Recovery a try. Within three hours, ALL lost data was recovered. This data was worth much, much more than the money I paid for VirtualLab Data Recovery. Thanks again for all of your efforts to make this program powerful AND easy to use!!!
I lost some very important and personally priceless photos because of a hard drive malfunction on my mackbook air. I tried numerous disk recovery programs with no success at all. I saw your VirtualLab Data Recovery program in a Google search. I tried it as one last chance – it found and recovered my lost files.
I can’t tell you how happy I was.
What I like about VirtualLab is the fact that it's job specific. It doesn't try to be everything, but it does do everything for file recovery. It got me over 5 GB of data back after one of my partitions was unrecognizable.
DO NOT WASTE your time or money with this useless software. If you insist to use it, you have got Kernel Panics continuously. Of course you will never see the end of scan progress, etc... If you data is important you should not risk it with this dangerous utility.
The vendor of this software hides the price from you. There is no way to determine how much they charge for the product until you actually install it and use it to find your missing files. At that point it appears that you pay a fee based on the size of the files you want to undelete. My guess is that this software is extremely expensive to use and they want you to be desperate enough to recover your file that, once you see the file in front of you, able to be recovered, you'll pay whatever enormous price they're asking. Caveat emptor. BTW they also make it difficult to uninstall the software.
I decided to try this app because a lot of people had problems and they recently updated the software. It no longer Kernel Panics. Apple changed something in Tiger and it caused this program to no longer work. My guess is the disk i/o routines. Anyway, it does work now and pretty well. The cost is a little high IMO. But there are not a lot of recover apps out there, especially Volume Recover type apps for Mac. This one will recover a lot of different types of problems.
Just a re-affirmation of the below comments, since sometimes you get quirks in different systems/configurations.
Yes, kernel panic ad nauseum.
It started off fine, prompting to identify what kind of recovery you need instead of having to wade through menu options, but as soon as it tried scanning the hard drive - POOF!
Strange that someone would spend (clearly) a lot of time on a piece of s/w like this only to fall down at the finish line...bizarre.
I'm sure many users here have more Mac experience than myself, but as someone that's been using OS X exclusively since the Public Beta days, I feel like this is not an unreasonable statement: THIS IS THE WORST SOFTWARE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Not only did it not recover anything, it actually kernel panicked my machine during important work, causing me to lose MORE data than had already been lost. This is the first and only kernel panic I've ever had, on any OS version, spanning 8 different machines. You could not pay me to risk installing this wretched program on my system again.
Tried Virtuallab and it caused kerel panics everytime on 3 different Macs... Tech support hasn't bothered with my email inquiry after 3 days. Piss poor app with even worse support
Data Safety Suite by Prosoft Engineering is a bootable OS X CD containg three fine applications, incuding Data Rescue, Data Backup, and Data Recycler.
When I had foolishly installed a pre-release copy of Tiger (OS X 10.4) on my 250 MB HD, things eventualy got very wonky - and the latest versions of Disc Warrior, TechToolPro, Drive10 were all stymied and helpless. With this Data Safety Suite CD I recovered ALL files and every one of them was uncorrupted!
When I went to the website of the outfit that offers this application and asked for the cost of recovering 250 MB of data, the quote trhey furnished me was: $1,349.95 READ THAT AGAIN ! Yes, 1,350 bucks!
What kind of thieves are these characters? I did not even see a guarantee of success or a money-back-if-not satisfied statement, etc.
does exactly what it says, and recovered files i never even knew i had, but tech support is very rude and obviously could careless about their company, also you pay on how much you recover. when you go to do that it seems as though you can only buy 1Gb for $99. so what you do is at 1Gb to your cart, then when you go to check out click the link to change amount, and then it allows you to change to fractions of a decimal down to the tens place. so for $19.99 you can get .01Gb or 10Mb. it also is gives the busy cursor a lot and seems to be heavy on my system which was just purchased. IMO its only worth it if your lost data was important, because it is a bit costly.
this program has both worked and failed for me. it worked on a drive that wouldnt mount and norton couldnt fix. it failed when i tried to recover some deleted files one time but worked another time.
I had no problems using this program and recovered files that I would've lost on my drive that refused to mount. Thank you guys so much for making a product that works!
VirtualLab worked great on my accidental initialized drive! At least there are tools out there for people like me that click the wrong button. *grins sheepishly*
RIPOFF.
VirtualLab is pay-per-session application and you have to purchase a quota before you can recover any files.
They don't show their prices on their site but it's nearly $100 for the first gig (minimum order).
Tried this to recover lost MP3s. It jumbled the files and they were unusable.
When I wrote to their customer service about how the program didn't work, they told me that since I'd already used the quota they couldn't provide a refund. They have been completely non responsive to all futher communications.
FIND ANOTHER PROGRAM.
RUN away from this software. It is a complete waste.
I accidentally deleted a file while on a business trip... my Norton Disk was at home (and not installed on the PowerBook.) So i downloaded this "demo"
It "found" 80 files of the type I was looking for, but none had a "real" filename... just "InDesign 3 file 1, InDesign 3 file 2" etc. No dates either, so no way of knowing which one might be the file.
In order to get the demo to work past this point, you must buy a "session" for $99 which allows you to recover up to 10GB of data - apparently as a one-time shot.
After clicking a few links, they claim you can buy a smaller amount of "quota." Unfortunately, this forces you to download and install another file "stoploss data protection" (and further decreases my chances of file recovery.)
After all that, "Stoploss" will not install on 10.3, saying it is not a valid system!
I never thought I would say recommend Norton, but it is a MUCH better option than this highly overpriced "data hostage" package

I do not recommend this service.
I didn't find it any better than Norton Utilities. I managed to successfully recover precisely the same number of accidently deleted files (Photoshop, TIFFs and EPS) with them. But both NU and VL couldn't manage to recover InDesign 2.0 files. Or precisely - none of what they 'recovered' appeared to work then.
So why to pay $100 for 5GB session if NU (for limitless use) costs the same?
How do you spell "Ripoff"? This software costs PER SESSION, and not small amounts. You need to connect to a remote server so they can investigate your disk? My personal data? Yeah right.
Notice how the prices are very well hidden. Your 60 Gig disk just went down? Find out for yourself.
I for my part use Data Rescue. Does the job locally. And pretty well too.
How would you rate VirtualLab Data Recovery app?
