ZX I also love the look...but over 200+ clips Stuf is unusable (slow and unstable)! 1. Make the sidebar Hide/Show ASAP! 2. Text size and font customization (on non formatted option) ASAP! 2 The search Bar should be expandable and safari alike (move it up, Search-on-the-fly...). 3. Delete the anoying info message on the bottom.

ZX first, i agree that my review could have been much more clear and detailed..but i blame that on my lame english, and i admit that i was a bit too quick to draw. i didn't give it much time. *mail has nothing to do with Yojimbo..it was just an example of an 'all-in-One' solution like the app - Crm4Mac http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14930 which is an attempt to combine iCal, Apple Mail and Address Book into one app. **personally, i can easily see Yojimbo integrating with NetNewsWire and a good searching tool like DEVONagent for example..and i can give you more examples if you wish. ***look at the iPhone = phone+ipod+palm..now i am sure that you are going to argue that these are physical objects, and the comparison is stupid. but i don't think so,. to me it's all based on the same principle. in our case, it will save me lots of time, i wont need to use a 30" cinema display and hopefully less apps = less conflicts... i can go on and on but i think that you get the idea...and in the end it all really boils down to taste..some people like it, some don't. btw - nested folders...anyone? *developers still don't get it that we really dont wont 10 apps open at the same time...we need an app that can combine at least 3 into 1. example: iCal+address-book+mail= 3apps that could have bean combine into 1 app! (Version 1.4.1)

KAIDOH zx, I don't get your point: Are you complaining that you can't mail from Yojimbo, that you can't listen music with it while editing your holiday pictures? Some of us don't have a problem having several applications open each specialised in it's own profession. Yojimbos profession is to collect and organize information with ease and as far as I can tell, it does a pretty good job at it. Your comment would be appreciated if it was on the topic and not just hot air about narrow minded developers who don't get what "we" really want. (Version 1.4.1)

Yojimbo | Feb 20 2007 |
JONLINK *I* don't want to have iCal and Address Book open when I just want Mail open. It would use more resources and would be cluttered if you threw a bunch of stuff together. I can pick what I want to have open and what I find useful What's worse is that those three applications have *nothing* to do with Yojimbo. So what does your comment have to do with Yojimbo? ps. please speak for yourself. (Version 1.4.1)

KAIDOH I own and use DevonThink Pro. But I yet have not found out how to email with it or how to manage my appointments with it. If you wold have compared the features of DevonThink with that of Yojimbo you could have made a useful contribution for the readers of this site. But ranting about one app without giving any reason but a "try someotherapp and you'll see what I mean" is just poor style and the opposite of helpful - it's waste of time. To contribute something possilby useful on the topic: I took both mentioned apps for a test drive. DevonThink won the race as I consider it better at handling of big data collections on a scientific background with many cross references - and that was what I was looking for. But IMO Yojimbo seems better for personal data collection: It has a slicker interface, better integration with the system and is much easier to use. (Version 1.4.1)

SHAWNYQ Do you live in an RV? Ya know, so you can combine your vehicle with your house? All-in-one applications are usually a never good idea. They become bloated, memory hogs and a struggle for the developer to maintain. A much better idea is integrating multiple one-purpose applications into each other. Hence the iLife suite. Can you imagine if iLife was just one huge application? (Version 1.4.1)

Yojimbo | Mar 14 2007 |
IGAUCHO If you don't want to have Mail, Address Book, and iCal open at the same time, why not switch to Entourage? It integrates all the same functionality into one app. I don't think that Yojimbo was ever intended to be anything other than a way to collect links, web archives, notes, etc. (Version 1.4.2)
