Clonetool Hatchery
Jul 9 2008

ZURIE  I have Clonetool Hatchery 1.1.7

I have 1 hard drive that is SATA 250 gig on channel 1. I have a IDE drive as well but I unhooked it to just be 100% sure it wasn't conflicting with the program.

a) problem 1 - i can't select ANYTHING in the dropdowns.. i basically have to just go with what it accepts..

if i have 5 partitions or 5 drives or whatever, the dropdowns are greyed out!!! :( bummer! so that makes the app useless unless your drives are magically on the source and clone side.. or if you have 2 drives..

so why even have a dropdown if it doesn't work, otherwise are you aware it is greyed out? is that a bug?

kalyway 10.5.2 - nforcekernel

FP-IN9 fatality motherboard

intelcore2 duo

ok -

problem B) I magically got DriveA to showup in my source and DriveB to showup in my clone - so it starts up with them, even though they are greyed out and I can't change them... luckily I want it like A and B so it works - sorta.

when I click create disk image.. the program freezes about 10% into the process.... I have 1 SATA 120 gig drive partitioned into 2 equal parts of 60 gigs each.

part 1 tries to copy to part2 and I get a freeze after 10% etc...

when I cold reboot - the only way to get out of the freeze since the mouse and keyboard are 100%lockedup... I notice that only 20 or 30 megs are copied over and it basically hangs / crashes somewhere in the applications...

why? is there a way I can open console or terminal or something that can help you?? unfortunetally i can't copy and paste or etc since the machine hard freezes... can i start a log in terminal with tail? etc

Have you tried to clone 1 SATA split in half from part A to part B?

my sata is HFS+ Journaled both partitions. I even tried to erase partition B as well as repair permissions, etc, etc.. do I have to boot off a CD or some random drive to do this??? please help me!
(Version 1.1.7)
