ZUNGA Just to let all other users know that Data Rescue 3 works also on NTFS-formatted disks. There's a common issue between the PC users who are switching to Mac: all of their documents and files disappear form the NTFS external disks they are trying to use under OS X: the space is occupied, but the files count becomes zero. Well: a Deep Scan performed in Data Rescue 3 solves the problem, even if the user hasn't write permission on the NTFS disk. I've just recovered 166 GB of data form a Maxtor USB2 HD, which a friend of mine was using as a single archive for ALL of his documents, music and images (I've, or better Prosoft, have literally saved his digital life). Bottom line: great program (but I haven't tested the competitors, honestly). Bottom-bottom line: never move NTFS disks between Pcs and Macs (better: never us NTFS disks under Mac), and ALWAYS keep a complete backup of your data if you want to save 99 bucks and a heart attack.
