ZUDO  The only PM G5 that went Vintage is the first model, discontinued 5 years ago, not 3. Since it still works fine you are not forced to buy a new(er) mac until you're ready.

ZUDO  You can turn it into apple keychain at any time.

Preferences > Keychains > Switch back to mac os x keychain format.

It's interesting to ask why they can't make an updater. It would also be much smaller in size.
