ZERROEFFECT In the FAQ on the main site: The reason why DVDRemaster is downloaded when downloading Fairmount is that the latter is distributed with the DVDRemaster package. (Version 1.0.4)

ZERROEFFECT A little hard to use, but awesome tech demo. It's cool that the camera can be used like this. (Version 1.0)

ZERROEFFECT One of the worst pieces of software and least amount of support from a major company that I have ever seen. I bought a VX Revolution mouse, which works fine without the drivers, but lacks functionality in the multiple buttons. I installed the latest LCC (ver 2.2.2) and rebooted only to find my device was not found. I went to Logitech's site, found the troubleshooting for this situation, laughed, and did as it said. Still no device found. I uninstalled the latest version and, going off what others have said on the web, downloaded older versions, starting with 2.1.1. I restarted, installed the new one, restarted, then checked to see that my device STILL wasn't found. I did this for two other driver versions - 2.1.2 and 2.1.3. Still no luck. I decided to forego the whole thing and completely uninstall the Logitech drivers. One problem: aped still starts with my mac. WTF? So I spotlighted that and removed the framework. I shouldn't have had to do that. Leaving a haxie on my system is not appreciated. If it has a use, then it's tolerable, but this is inexcusable. Steermouse detects the mouse and works great, but it's shareware. Why should I have to pay for drivers, especially when I paid so much for the mouse in the first place? Logitech, get your stuff together and bring out some good drivers for OS X. Judging by all the negative comments here and elsewhere, customers are not completely satisfied. Isn't that your goal? Or is the bottom line more important? (Version 2.2.2)

DERPLAU As much as I hate this software, I need to point out that it doesn't install aped; that must have been installed by some other piece of software. (Version 2.2.2)

DERPLAU Sorry, my bad: after reading through some other comments it appears that earlier versions did indeed install aped. Good gravy, Logitech, you really are awful at writing Mac software. (Version 2.2.2)

ZERROEFFECT For the people complaining about not being able to uninstall this program. Click "more information" above and look at the uninstall directions on the author's page. Seriously, always check the author's page before posting something like this. They usually think of these things ahead of time. ;) (Version 1.1)

ZERROEFFECT The gap is from the lyrics not only being downloaded, but automatically added to the currently playing song. The gap is from the mp3 file being modified on the fly. This fulfills one of your requests already. The only way to stop the gap is to have an option to turn off automatic adding of the lyrics. At least, that's how I understand it works. MINDQUIRK This is correct. We've been unable to find a workaround, and decided that since the gap occurs only one time that it would be worthwhile. (Version 2.0)

ZERROEFFECT Argh... I hate that people keep bashing Firefox simply because a) their hardware is old or b) they don't understand how to best take advantage of what Firefox has to offer. Sure, it takes a little more to learn how to set it up correctly, but the payoff is higher. This application starts in the same amount of time Safari takes on my shiny new Macbook Pro 2GHz with 2g RAM. It also runs fast and has fewer annoyances than Safari. My mouse pointer disappears at times in Safari, making surfing the web very frustrating. Get the excellent Grapple theme, then install adblock plus, tweak network settings, tabmix plus, fission, and user agent switcher extensions. You're golden. Until Safari is fixed of some of its quirks (hopefully in Leopard), I'm sticking with Fx. (Version 1.5.0.7)

ZERROEFFECT Works just as it says. Only thing I can't figure out is how to rename apps in the list, if that's possible. Quick, small, and convenient. Now I can unclutter my dock a little.

ZERROEFFECT I am a recent switcher with a Macbook Pro 2GHz and 2GB RAM. I love Safari, though the disappearng mouse cursor on some sites and the inability to load some others (especially free hotel internet) put me off using it full-time. Firefox, when tweaked right, runs very nicely, even on this machine. The first thing I do is get the tweak network settings extension (simplest of the ones out there) and set it to "power". Next, I get Tabmix Plus (why this is not built in yet is beyond me). Then, there are the themes. The Grapple themes are my favorite on OSX. If the Firefox theme would include these as at least options, maybe people wouldn't complain so much. Sure, after a cold boot Fx jumps in the dock at least 6 times, but everytime after that, it's no more than 3. The only time I have seen it jump the dozen times some other reviewer mentioned is when something else is still loading in the background. Might want to check that. It also takes a lot of memory while running which is something I didn't like on the PC side, either. Rendering and loading of pages is very fast and I'm on wireless G with cable into the router (so my connection is still limited by airport). Even at my parent's place on DSL the load was fast. Not sure if I'm just lucky, but I don't think I am. I just took the time to set it up correctly. With that said, I recommend Firefox in the 1.5 release (not yet this 2.0 one). Firefox 1.5 is compatible with the extensions I listed and the themes. And everyone knows it's all about the extensions. Some other useful extensions to make things more Mac-like (and trim the fat): - Mr Tech's Local Install Firefox is not perfect by any means, but neither are any of the other browsers. Until Apple fixes the issues I listed above, I will not go back to Safari. Camino is too simple and restrictive as far as customizing the look goes (I know about pimpmycamino) and the others just don't feel right yet (I've tried them all). Hopefully this app will be developed more with a focus on OSX. It needs something to stop all the incessant whining. (Version 2.0b1)
