it's not so much the fact that there isn't any alternatives, it's that it seems there is some kind of stigma to compiling for PPC nowadays, when most of the time there's really no reason not to tick the checkbox in Xcode and compile a UB. There are still a whooooooole lot of us PPC users around, and we need software too.

BTW my initial comment was unfounded as it seems it was a mistake and the prior release was, and the next release will be universal.

wtf. Give me one good reason why an optimizer app cannot be run on PPC machines? Cocktail, Onyx, Tinkertool, MainMenu...TERMINAL. The list goes on.

Those of us still on PPC need some luvin' too.

I can not get menubar searching to work for the life of me, cleared caches, toggled the library update preference, everything.

It worked fine in previous releases.

many of the dll's and libraries that XBMC uses are all dependent on the x86 architecture to function, so all those would have to be compiled to run on PPC first, and then xbmc would be able to make an attempt at running on PPC.

Still running on PPC myself, I know it would be nice to have a version for us, but I'm not holding my breath that anyone would submit themselves to such a huge undertaking for a dying platform. That's wht I keep an old pc and (4) modded xboxes around strewn through the house.

XBMC FTW.

At launch all my palettes are white. Previous version did not do this. Trashed prefs and still persists.

My mac doesn't support coreimage, and I get an error in console about not being able to load custom color picker.

That's odd because I stream HD video from my dual 867mhz MDD and it's as smooth as butter.

I got in on the beta for this app and it totally demolishes the competition (Connect360). It allows you to share multiple folders, and I'm not plagued by Connect360 pegging both my cpu's for no reason. If you are considering connect360, do yourself a favor and get this instead. Great app.

This is hands down the best software for playing your media files. Nothing even comes close. I've been using it on my xbox for a couple years now, and it's just gotten better. I would go buy an intel mac mini just to install this and put it on my tv.

I don't know if you know, but you built this for Intel only...

To Developer. You might want to change permissions on the disk image/directory on your server to let us download it.

Thanks

Does not boot linux, or show the loader screen.

I can't uninstall, apparently, you hardcoded your ipods name into the script.

Still won't boot linux for me. It shows all the linux directories, but boots into the normal iPod OS.

I actually didn't have it on the disk image, but I'll give this new version a try.

Doesn't work for me. Goes through the motions, and says it's done installing, but same old iPod after all the work is done.

And yes, I'm sure I have a 5.5G iPod.

I have an applescript on my site to do this, http://www.liquidnexus.com. Add a hotkey and you're set.

I love this app, from the cool Jewel Case, to the Last.fm integration, to the growl notifications, I can consolidate all the apps I use for this stuff into one. Primo.

I'm glad that my first comment to re-write this app in cocoa paid off, as it turned out to be a very reliable and robust application (with a waaaaay smaller footprint). Thank you for taking my advice to heart and not getting offended as some other devs might. Kudos.

How can this even be called shareware if you can't try it before you buy it. It should be in the commercial software category.

Take a look at a couple posts down. Just re-download and you should be fine.

I'm surprised there's no comments about it already, but there was a small bug that popped up due to a problem with XCode, that prevented FlashMount from opening double-clicked files. I uploaded the fixed version, so anyone with any troubles, just re-download and you'll be fine.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
