I'm just wondering/hoping, if this niffty little programme might be updated soon to let users with under 900MHz G4 Macs to install OS X 10.5?

It seems Apple have limited 10.5 for either Intel users or better than 900MHz G4's

Fingers x-ed.....

Yes, I too would dearly love to see a 'Lite' (cheaper) version of this fantastic bit of software. I'm on a very limited Pension income, and just an audio hobbyist, so a reduced price version would be extremely appreciated.

As already stated by others, there's nothing wrong with using the FREE OS X built-in Firewall, or even the Firewall in your Modem/Router, but NetBarrier does have the standalone NetBarrier Monitor, which is useful in accurately tracking your Monthly D/L quota from your ISP, but definitely not worth the asking price for such a small extra utility.

... very unstable, on a G4 TiBk 500.

I just can't get it to stop re-drawing the screen constantly when first starting it up. Just locks up my Mac.

Which is quite sad, considering this app would be a suitable addition to a portable 'puter, albeit an old one.

:-(

I'm very grateful for this app.

I think it's easy and intuitive enough to use.

So far, no problems.

It can only get better I'm sure.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers.

I use a G4 TiBook 500MHz 512Mb RAM with MacOS 10.4.5, and I'm sorry to say I'm not having much luck. Playback still stutters and/or freezes. I use Insanity's Cee Pee You, as my Processor's Usage indicator, (in the menu bar), and when I try to play a movie, I get the indication that my processor runs at a constant 100%, which then makes my Mac almost unusable. I'm at a loss. I'm wondering if DivX Player relies on Quartz in any way, which would explain things as my TiBk doesn't support Quartz. :-(

(Apps like VLC and MPlayer still work OK.)
