Disc Cover

WILLIAM25  Disc Cover works great on my iMac G5 PPC, 2.0 Ghz. Really like the addition of an envelope for CDs and DVDs.

Never had any trouble with stability at all. I recommend this to anyone.

WILLIAM25  This is the reply received from Agile. It doesn't work right out of the box. You have to hack it with a text editor. They are working on an update.

Reply from Agile:

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. Apple surprised us a bit by introducing the Safari 4 public beta today. We're working on a new release that will officially support Safari 4, but you can already enable it if you like. We have a post in our forums that details how to do it. If you think you messed anything up, you can simply download from our website and start fresh.

I hope this information helps. We'll have an official release with Safari 4 support soon.

LARRYMCJ  Thanks for posting, and sorry you had to learn the hard way to help others. For me, 1Password is a lot more important than looking at the new Safari beta. But I know the folks at 1Password will have it working with 4.x very quickly.

LORRE  Disk Image you downloaded that includes the Safari 4 beta installer package also includes a Safari 4 beta uninstaller package, so just run that and you should be fine

WILLIAM25  TROUBLE

OS 10.5.6, PPC, iMac , 2.0 Ghz

Would not install. Dialog reported iWork was not in the applications folder when it was in the original install place.

Machine acted funny after install. Restarted. Fans revved up and stayed that way for a couple of minutes.

Same way with Keynote and Numbers.

Watch out.

MAJESTIK7  EEFLOEE, it is iWorks '08 not '09 I am trying to update.

The original poster is using a PPC, I am using Intel. Both of us are running 10.5.6. Maybe it is a Leopard problem.

Which Mac OS are you running?

EEFLOEE  i use a macpro with 10.5.6 running. might be a permissions-thing and worth checking. maybe the console can give you a better insight as well in regards to what is causing the issue.

MAJESTIK7  OK, I found what my issues was. I had renamed the folder containing the iWorks applications to iWorks '08. I must have added the "s" at some point.

Make sure the folder is named iWork '08. no "s"

WILLIAM25  The main reason is that Merge printing is so easy to use and that picking any particular person is so easy. Very easy for this 70-year-old. Not so easy to learn any more.

WILLIAM25  I think iFamilyforTiger is a terrific piece of genealogy software and well worth the price. The developer is constantly improving this application and he is quick to respond to questions, etc.

I have been using this software for 6 months.

WILLIAM25  An Excellent start. Love this program. Have been looking for a sucessor to Typestyler and now we have it.

The only criticism I have is minor: The text entry box could be bigger to accommodate the width and depth multiple lines of type.

MultiAd Creator Desktop

*****

WILLIAM25  Terrific software for home publishing or professional publishing. At $99, this software is a bargain and is every bit as good as InDesign or QuarkXpress (which costs hundreds of $$$$ more). The Oro version is costly but the Desktop version of MultiAd is just what the doctor ordered.
