WHYTOI Interesting. After 2 reinstalls and reboots, all the features are back. Initially ClicktoFlash menu disappeared and even Glim disappeared under Safari's Preference window. Ummm... (Version 1.1)

::MILE:: Same here -- after updating 'Safari AdBlocker' to 1.1 I lost 'ClickToFlash' all of a sudden...!? I rebooted my computer, nothing...re-installed 'ClickToFlash', still nothing...it's just gone...!?:( (Version 1.1)

WHYTOI Works great generally but for Youtube.com. Kept on getting a fainted Quicktime icon with a white question mark over it in Safari 4.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.6). Had to open Firefox to see those video clips. (Version 1.5fc2)

GARY30 First, try disabling the "Load H.264 Videos from YouTube." Make sure you have www.youtube.com whitelisted. Finally, on youtube.com go to My Account-->Playback Setup-->Video Playback Quality and select " I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available" if you have a cable modem or other broadband connection. (Version 1.5.3b3)

WHYTOI All my Safari plug-ins have died under Safari (Snow Leopard) running 64bit mode. Switch to 32bit mode under Get-info to gain some reprieve. However, I have noticed a performance drop under 32bit mode. (Version 1.0b20)

WHYTOI Great, love updates from VMware. Just note that the full installer for 2.0.2 with McAfee VirusScan installer is 286Mb while the lite version without McAfee is 187Mb. Both are available on VMware's site. I don't need that extra 100Mb of download. (Version 2.0.2)

WHYTOI I agree. Another one of those faceless companies offering free "secure data" service. What's in it for them? Why should I trust my data with them? By using it, I would be routinely feeding all my data to them. Using public WiFi, at least there's a random nature as to which bits of data a hacker can sniff. Not ideal! (Version 0.942)

WHYTOI I actually don't want excessive integration with my Windows virtual machine. As a minimum, I would hate to see virus and other Windows malwares affect my Mac files. I am happy to share one folder where files are transferred b/n the two OSs, but definitely not let Windows directly access my full folder hierarchy. It puzzles me why anyone would want to bypass one of the big benefit of running Mac OS X. (Version 2.0.1)

PopChar X | Dec 11 2007 |
WHYTOI Been using PopChar for years since Classic Mac OS days. But I could never understand the transition to 3.x where it became a standalone application. The old screen corner drop down screen was just so convenient. Why take it away? Anyway, fortunate that v2.3 still works well under Mac OS X 10.5. (Version 3.3.2)

WHYTOI Have just been notified today by email from the developer that v3.3.4 does not work under Mac OS X 10.5. No ETA on a compatible release at this stage. I am disappointed that the developer has not taken the effort to sort out the problem before the commercial release of 10.5 nor provide an ETA on a fix. (Version 3.3.4)

Parallels Desktop | Jun 7 2007 |
WHYTOI 3.0.4124 installed and then took 3 further hours of mucking around to get it running properly. All included numerous startup crashes of Windows XP and Parallels application and one Mac OS X kernel panic. The culprit seemed to be those custom screen resolutions I had for my VM. Suggest potential updater to, 1) Back up your existing v2.5 VM document/folder. 2) Turn off custom screen resolutions before the update both in Parallel's VM preferences and within Windows' Display control panel. Good luck! (Version 3.0.4124)

WHYTOI Great job to continue to evolve this program. I think I'll finally dump Thoth for this UB app. Keep up this great work! QIM | Jun 1 2006 |
WHYTOI Been following this IM's development for some time now. This is a fantastic piece of input method add-on for Mac OS X for anyone who has a need to input Chinese using pinyin on a regular basis. It's the most intuitive sentence based model available on the Mac platform. And for people who are migrating from Windows, it's similar to the ever so popular UNISPIM pinyin input system on that platform. However, QIM's interface is so much sleeker than UNISPIM, helped by Mac OS X and good coding of course. :) There are still some feature improvements that can and should be added to this IM in the future eg. Edit, sort and search functions in the QDM dictionary manager module. But as of Release 1, it's perfectly functional for everyday needs. And the shareware price is very good for what this can do to your Chinese input efficiency. Good job! (Version Release 1)

WHYTOI Not impressed with 3.0b6. The older version's interface is much much better with its drop down menu. This huge pop-up window is a terrible waste of space and ugly. ROADTRIPDK That is what I look so much about MacUpdate. They are clear and concise as to what systems/platforms a specific program can be used for. It clearly states that this is still only a PPC binary. Of course it won't run on Intel. Wait or write the author about creating an Intel or PPC/Intel universal binary. (Version 1.4)

STRONGMANTIM As a user of both, I think that XGestures and CocoaGestures are very similar. I was a huge CocoaGestures junkie and swore it was the only one I would use, but once they stopped developing it (I believe the last update was in Autumn 2003), I became a huge XGestures junkie. And even if CocoaGestures released an update, there's no way I would go back to it. XGestures and its developer have impressed me enough that there's no going back. (Version 1.4)
