121Mb for one security update?!? C'mon Adobe. You've got to be joking!

Yep, deletion of the two files (one hidden) worked well for me too. Running perfectly fine.

Ok, tried it and didn't find any trojan. Anyone actually got a positive hit?

Been using PopChar for years since Classic Mac OS days. But I could never understand the transition to 3.x where it became a standalone application. The old screen corner drop down screen was just so convenient. Why take it away? Anyway, fortunate that v2.3 still works well under Mac OS X 10.5.

Used Pacifist and extracted the application enclosed. No ideas why they bothered to use an installer when there's just the standalone application. There's no extension or other external components.

Great, the installer says that my 2.0.1 version is newer than this 2.0.2 version and refused to install.

Thanks! This now works under 10.5.1. Seemed faster too.

Have just been notified today by email from the developer that v3.3.4 does not work under Mac OS X 10.5. No ETA on a compatible release at this stage.

I am disappointed that the developer has not taken the effort to sort out the problem before the commercial release of 10.5 nor provide an ETA on a fix.

Simple. Just go up to the menu and turn on Show task bar.

3.0.4124 installed and then took 3 further hours of mucking around to get it running properly. All included numerous startup crashes of Windows XP and Parallels application and one Mac OS X kernel panic.

The culprit seemed to be those custom screen resolutions I had for my VM.

Suggest potential updater to,

1) Back up your existing v2.5 VM document/folder.

2) Turn off custom screen resolutions before the update both in Parallel's VM preferences and within Windows' Display control panel.

Good luck!

After updating, the reboot led to another auto reboot and then got stuck. Had then to do a manual hard reboot to get things going again.

Seemed to be working fine now.

Installed 10.4.9 Combo on MacBook. Mac OS got even more snappy! :)

Disagree. Plenty of non-universal binary/PPC apps run under Intel Macs through Rosetta. So it's not a definite thing.

Very quick update process. Some noise and two restarts and it's all done. Too soon to be aware or confirm any beneficial or adverse effects. But no repeated "moos" by the fan after 5 minutes of use.

Great job to continue to evolve this program. I think I'll finally dump Thoth for this UB app. Keep up this great work!

One request, would be very nice to see the threading within a message window, similar to what has been achieved in the article window. Not sure if this is in the plan?

The multi-coloured wheel just turned and turned on my MacBook with 10.4.7. The interface looked enticing, but that's it for the time being.

Wow, I thought Brian has stopped developing this app. This update is a complete surprise!

Been following this IM's development for some time now. This is a fantastic piece of input method add-on for Mac OS X for anyone who has a need to input Chinese using pinyin on a regular basis. It's the most intuitive sentence based model available on the Mac platform. And for people who are migrating from Windows, it's similar to the ever so popular UNISPIM pinyin input system on that platform. However, QIM's interface is so much sleeker than UNISPIM, helped by Mac OS X and good coding of course. :)

There are still some feature improvements that can and should be added to this IM in the future eg. Edit, sort and search functions in the QDM dictionary manager module. But as of Release 1, it's perfectly functional for everyday needs. And the shareware price is very good for what this can do to your Chinese input efficiency.

Good job!

My Black MacBook is reading 1.5GHz. How come?

Not impressed with 3.0b6. The older version's interface is much much better with its drop down menu. This huge pop-up window is a terrible waste of space and ugly. And where did the character type display selection go? I don't need to see A-z but just all the funny characters.

It crashes out on my new MacBook under 10.4.6. Tried to delete its database and preference file, nothing worked. We need an UB version to get this working on Intel Macs I suspect.

Nice little utility that I've used for quite some time now. With this version, I noticed that the installer does not seem to like directory names containing "_" and/or "-". I had to install in the Applications directory rather than one of my sub-directory.

I don't have any of your stated problems with v4.4 here on Tiger 10.4.4, PB 12".

How does this program relate and compare with that freebie CocoaGestures? http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/9662

How ironic, there's now a cracked version for this Bittorrent client floating around.

Some of you guys are crazy. When it's labelled as "Beta", then treat it with great caution. If you don't, then don't whinge!

Doesn't seem to work for me. Dragged the folder containing Video_TS over the app and nothing happened. OS X 10.4.3.
