WALLYDOG This is a reply to TOM.25. I can't figure out how reply directly to him. I can guarantee the files are identical. They were copies made just minutes before I tested SynchTwoFolders. My remarks about the language weren't meant to criticize your English, and I appreciate your effort to translate. However, for me, a native English speaker, some of the language was very awkwardly worded. "Source up Target" would be a good example. I've read the tool tip half a dozen times and I'm still not sure exactly what "Source up Target" means. I think it means that the target folder will be updated with all new and modified files, but no files will be deleted. But it's not clear. The speed of the program was fine. Again, thanks for your efforts. I hope you continue to update SynchTwoFolders for those of us with PPC Macs. p.s. I can provide you with specifics if you want, but I'm not sure how to get you my email address. (Version 1.3.3)

TOM.25 My email address is in the about SyncTwoFolders window in SyncTwoFolders menu. There is a short description of SyncTwoFolders in this window. That's why this about window can be opened from the help menu too, I wrote "Please read about menu". In this same ("no") Help window, you've a link to the FAQ. Each time I had a person who wrote me about the files regards as different as they were identical, it was because the use a network disk. I don't know why, but the system add sometimes a few seconds when it copy a file. If you look at the modification date, they should differ of 10 or 20 seconds. If not, and if the name is effectively the same (no space in one of the file or invisible characters but it should be impossible), I would be very surprise. Then why only those file and not all if there's a bug in my program, as it's the same code used with a loop for each file? I was a little exceed yesterday but I worked hard for 3 days on MyPopBarrier to add features and correct some minor bugs. (Version 1.3.3)

WALLYDOG Following is my brief experience with SynchTwoFolders. Please note that I'm using the PPC version. I love the idea of this program. So I downloaded it and ran a test. I made a copy of my work folder, then added one file and modified another in the original folder. I then ran a simulated synch, using the original folder as the "source." SynchTwoFolders correctly identified the two files that needed to replaced. However, it also identified four other files as needing to be replaced for reasons I don't understand. The identified files are identical in creation and modification dates, and haven't even been opened in several years. This is obviously not acceptable. Also, I don't know if the devlopers are native English speakers, but the language they use is confusing to put it mildly. Finally, the results window is very hard to read. So my search for a simple, cheap program that will reliably synch two folders goes on. (Version 1.3.3)

TOM.25 Are you sure your files are identical? I suppose there is some seconds of difference, read FAQ. What me I find not acceptable, it's to give free a program I made for myself because some people find it usefull, and many of those persons were English speakers and, as I'm French, I waste my time to try to make an English version, but it's not enough!!! Does SyncTwoFolders quick enough???? Because if not, as I can't make it run faster maybe can I buy you a newer quickest Mac?! (Version 1.3.3)

WALLYDOG Doesn't work with Safari 3.1. I really wish this would be updated, I really need that unclose last tab function. (Version 4.1)

Sports Fan Widget | Jan 13 2008 |
WALLYDOG Seems to work well, but how do you open more than one "instnace" of the widget? When I try to install again, it replaces the copy of the widget already there. (Version 1.1)

Sports Fan Widget | Jan 13 2008 |
ANDREAS AMANN This is a general question on Dashboard usage and is described in Mac Help under "Displaying Dashboard widgets": You can display several widgets in Dashboard at once. You can also display more than one of the same widget. [...] To display one or more widgets: Press the F12 key to open Dashboard, and then click the Open (+) button at the lower-left corner of the screen to reveal the widget bar. Click a widget’s icon or drag it out of the widget bar to use it. (you can drag as many copies as you like of the same widget from the widget bar to the Dashboard - each individual copy will remember its settings). Andreas Amann (Version 1.1)

WALLYDOG Thank you Andreas Amann, that worked perfectly. I didn't know you could drag widgets. (Version 1.1)

Radioshift | Jan 12 2008 |
WALLYDOG This thing has potential but is nowhere near ready for prime time. It has weird quirks all over the place. Scheduling is difficult and unintuitive. Interface is inconsistent, to put it nicely. Last time I quit the program, the radio station continued to play on my computer for another three minutes. And lots more. I'd avoid it until they do a major revamp. (Version 1.0.4)

WOLFEATSWORLD Better yet.. To remove Tasty Unzip, open System Preferences, right click (or ctrl-click) the Tasty Unzip icon and select "Remove Tasty Unzip Preference Pane". Then browse to the folder /User/yourusername/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins and remove the folder Tasty Unzip.bundle. (Version 1.1)

Scenario Poker | May 1 2007 |
WALLYDOG Scenario poker is barely acceptable. The screen is too small to see easily, it's difficult to tell who's betting and response to button clicks is sluggish at best. Besides that, other players never bluff (it's easy to tell when someone's gotten a pair) and don't seem to respond to bluffs. If you've really got to play and you've got nothing else, give it a try.
