WALLENBERG12 Hi, I've been using Fildefense now for almost a year in version 1.5. The concept is convincing and definitely a missing link to more security for Mac OSX, at least for anybody who wants to get control about new apps harassing his/ her mac. Unfortunately the implementation is poor. Referring to the last reviewer: the GUI is very inflexible and more important, it creates issues with new software trying to access deeper parts of the system. I had severe issues to run SOFTRAID (couldn't get the software to operate until I uninstalled Filedefense) and with my backup software BRU PE (caused permanent checksum errors while backing up/ restoring). Most important: I tried to contact the support several times - nobody answered. Thats a bad sign. So I uninstalled and abandoned the software for now, we'll see if the dev get along with new features or anybody else picks up the idea of a proper file-monitoring software. Hope that helps.
