VVARP OK, I can agree with you that whole template creation process might be not that easy for everyone, especially being quite poorly documented. Just to further precise my view on this subject: templating engine and editing tools embedded in Billings are the most powerful ones you can get in this kind of application, on this platform. By using them you can create any kind of document layout you like, but obviously - you need to sacrifice proper amounts of time on it. Template library provided with application, cover most of the use cases that typical user can met. Using them as a starting point, might lead to results in VERY short time - and that's what I did. No offence but your comment about being related to Marketcircle is a utter nonsense - just try to look up my nickname in google and you will quickly find out what I am up to and where I live. VVARP I actually found built-in template designer very intuitive, easy to use and I build complete set of templates (estimate, invoice, envelope with custom layout and branding) without any troubles, or need for using documentation. I suggest to use existing template as a base - it gives better overview on how to build your own than any kind of tutorial or document. (Version 3.0.1)

VVARP Wow, I completely don't get this whole negative response. I can understand there some people might pissed off by upgrade fee, but since there is a whole bunch of new features available - I am happy to pay it as over last 18 months Billings proved to be reliable tool I can trust. Also it's bad to hear there are people having issues with unpatched bugs. My experience is opposite - every bug I reported through email or forums got fixed in one of minor updates. Happy to see v3 and I eagerly awaits upcoming iPhone app! (Version 3.0.1)

VVARP Version 2.6 is a definitely step forward as most of the critical bugs are non-existent right now. TextMate works as it should, there is no random app crashes, etc. However there is one MAJOR issue: everytime when I do a right click in Cocoa based app - I am getting beachballing for 2-3 secs. Too big annoyance to live with that. I will wait for 2.7... (Version 2.6)

GUNTIS Hmmm, strange. I have 10.5.4 and no problems whatsoever. Risked and installed on the clone drive, tested, and now it's running on my primary system disk too. I reprogrammed side scroller and buttons. Tried in TextEdit, Pages, Safari - no problems. (Version 2.6)

VVARP Great extension to your browsing experience. Interface for setting up rules is really smart and dead simple, not to mention it works great. Thanks to this feature, Leech replaced DownloadQueue for me. Nice job, I am waiting for more! (Version 1.1.1)

DeliciousSafari | Feb 6 2008 |
VVARP OK, I think that after few revisions of this product, I can revisit my previous review. Since I posted my first comment here (called below "unfair") DeliciousSafari was in kind of beta-quality stage. Now it grows up, has much more features (including VERY NEAT tag suggestion support) and finally becomes stable. I think my current rating is much more relevant to actual state of this tool. Personally I am not ready yet to quit WebnoteHappy, but I will keep an eye on this one to see where it's going. To dev: great job! (Version 1.6)

VVARP It could be nice time saver for everyday use but definitely not for 24$. I think it belongs to same category as MsgFiler (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23320/msgfiler): small tools that are pretty limited in function, designed for keyboard loving power-users. Cost of MsgFiler? 8$ - amount I am happy to pay for such tool. MercuryMover costs 3 times more. It would be nice if developer could do a research, compare his product with others and reconsider pricing level. (Version 1.1)

VVARP It would be nice addition to Safari when released for free or with source. Unfortunately it's a paid plugin, which basically duplicates poor solutions from other del.icio.us tools for Mac, do not introduce anything new (well, maybe except the fact being first one of it's kind to exist in form of plugin) and misses some basic functionality. There is no tag suggestions, no autocompletion and all your tags are displayed as a single flat list (which is insanely long in my case). There is also no way to filter out tags or search your bookmarks without getting on del.icio.us website. Short description: feature limited Pukka, which is available for Safari only. Definitely not worth $15 at this stage, get Pukka or Webnote Happy instead. (Version 1.2)

DELICIOUSSAFARI Thanks for the review... but not the 2 stars ;) DeliciousSafari is the only way to create and use del.icio.us bookmarks directly from Safari. Like Pukka, it lists all your tags in a single list in the Tags folder but DeliciousSafari also allows you to select your favorite tags (see Manage Favorite Tags) so that you can easily get to the tags you use most (similar to filtering, but for single tag filtering only). It does lack functionality that would make it even easier to use, such as tag suggestions, tag auto completion, and filtering. I will use your feedback when prioritizing new development. As for price, it is 5 cents more than Pukka and $9.95 less than WebnoteHappy. Thanks again for your feedback. (Version 1.2)

FONNESBECK I like the integration with Safari, but for me the lack of tag autocompletion is a deal-breaker (particularly for software that costs money). At this point, Pukka is a better deal, but I will look out for the next version of this. (Version 1.2)

VVARP @MacUpdate Admin: Yes, I reported bugs immediately (i.e. 6 months ago, after purchase) and never get reply. Even automated one. I hate being anal about other people hard work, but I think when you are charging for your app, you need to care about end-user support and have plans for product life-cycle. Interaction with users doesn't hurt! (Version 3.0)

yFlicks | Nov 20 2007 |
VVARP Concept is great and user interface is nice too, unfortunately I cannot say it's stable app for everyday use. - Loading times are terrible, it's nightmare to browse folder with a lot of items inside. - Generating thumbnails hangs the app until done. - Overlay controls sometimes appears, sometimes not - ...and there is more of it... I purchased version 2.0 at day of release (it was back in May I guess) and I was expecting to see most of the bugs fixed in next few weeks. After 2 months without even minor update I gived up and I stopped using yFlicks. Now we are getting version 3.0 which brings bunch of the new features to the table. I was really pleased when I noticed that, but my happines reduced to negative value when I discovered that old bugs are still there. I am not sure should I recommend this one. Hope to see v2.0 bugs fixed in v4.0... (Version 3.0)

Knox | Nov 9 2007 |
VVARP Knox is very important part of my day-to-day workflow. Except keeping my work files in separate vaults, I use it together with SmartBackup to keep secure backup of my home directory - very good combination! The only thing I miss is Automator actions for making backup copies of your vaults. This can be achieved through copying vaults, but I would like to keep all Knox specific backup settings like keeping up to x recent backups, etc. Great tool, 5 stars. (Version 1.5.2)

BitClamp | Nov 9 2007 |
The only use for this tool I can imagine is encrypting files before sending them via e-mail or posting on public web space. Of course people on the other side needs to have BitClamp as well to open them. For personal encryption needs, it's not really fun to use. Let's say I have some hyper classified document that I am working on all the time. When I finish my work, I need to fire up BitClamp, drag'n'drop files onto the window, enter password and pick up encrypted file from the desktop. On the next day if I would like to continue my work, I need to fire up BitClamp, enter password and pick up my files from "DecryptedFiles" folder at desktop. Because of that, I am using Knox which is based on encrypted DMG functionality built into OSX. Choose vault, type password, access mounted vault, do the work on your files, close the vault. Don't get me wrong - I am only trying to understand possible use cases for this app. (Version 1.0.4)

VVARP How does it compare to encrypted DMG/ZIP/RAR, except the fact some masquerading techniques can be used? Paying extra bucks to have tool that wraps up my files in some proprietary format doesn't sounds good to me, sorry. (Version 1.0.4)
