If I put my suggestion in the "place where it belongs", I can't tell _WHY_ I use another solution: ...mainly for the price.

So I put my comment in the comment section, - without a rating, - as you may have realized...

And if you are really a newcomer in the Macworld, don't you think you also should leave your censorship behavior behind in your former windows world?

ImageWell	Apr 11 2009	VOLLARE Downloaded it yesterday and can't understand why this is called a "hot pick" here on macupdate? There are lot of other apps which offer the same, some for free, as mentioned here in the comments. Tried "Thumbs Up" and it works great, so what's up here? ImageWell a "hot pick"??? MISHA Image Well has been around forever... it was one of the first apps that could do what it does. It's seen 100,000+ downloads over the course of its existence at MU (which is quite a lot) and the reviews are quite positive as you can see.

We generally don't turn off a Hot Pick unless something measurably better comes along (and even then, we'll probably just add that as a Hot Pick and not take away the other app's Hot Pick status, unless it stops being developed).

RPAEGE Thumbsup does not "work great" when working with multi-page PDF files. It also can't produce a thumbnail with exactly the same name as the original (but with a different extension). The developer fails to understand this despite repeated requests.

X Lossless Decoder	Apr 11 2009	VOLLARE Overall a great app, but same problem here, can't convert Apple lossless to Lame, only works for the first file I drop, the following ones give an error. What's wrong? (Version 20090320)		+2

DOCC I was in more or less the same situation as several others have described here: trouble decoding FLAC files and having XLD hanging on the second file. (At that point my whole system would hang.)

This surprised me since XLD has performed flawlessly from the first time I tried it.

Removing WindowShade and the APE file it installs fixed all the problems I was having. Those Haxies just don't seem worth the bother.
