VINCE. NetNewsWire 3.2 has a lot of bugs and keeps crashing on my system since i updated. I tried erasing plist and the whole programm, but it doesn't help. besides that, i dont like the Ad- field. So i switched back to Vienna which has finally become a really good RSS/ATOM-Reader.

VINCE. i think they should let the user decide what he or she wants his tab bar to look like. i know that this kind of letting-the-user-decide might be untypically for apple, esspecially when it comes to the appearance of a programm, but this bar was a great new invention in my opinion. VINCE. Where has this (new) Tab Bar gone that we all loved so much? Does anybody already know a way to get back the Tab Bar from the beta? The standard bar feels so 'unhandy' now.. regards (Version 4.0)

PLOINKR Oooh... darn, you're right! Maybe we can fiddle with the plist to get it back? (Version 4.0)

Apple Safari | Jun 8 2009 |
PEDROTAQUELIM In my opnion this was a wise decision from Apple. to revert to the tab system of Safari 3. Implementation of tabs in Safari 4 Beta was a design mistake. (Version 4.0)

VINCE. i have exactly the same problem with v1.4.2. when i use the auto update, it says: "The update is improperly signed." and the installation stops. i have version 1.4.1 installed using safari 4 beta, 10.5.6 PowerMac G4. (Version 1.4.2)

Miro | Feb 21 2009 |
VINCE. So many postive things have been said about Miro so far on which i mostly agree. so i just want to add one thing that i dislike about it: It runs very slow on my machine and needs alot of CPU Time. My fans always crank up when i open Miro. the developer should check out if there are possibilities to make the software more lightweight. esspecially the main window (where the different channel feeds are shown, download etc) runs very slow, and reacts to clicks with some delay. Apple iTunes | Dec 1 2008 |
VINCE. I dont like the fact, that you cannot turn off ‘genre view' in the preferences since version 8. In my opinion - as a total music freak - apple should drop that whole genre stuff out of their app and instead add the ability to give user defined tags for bands, albums and tracks. i could think of a solution simular to the tagging in iPhoto. that would be great. and it would make much more sense than to persist in the genre-solution. most of the music i listend too it to much multifaceted so that i couldnt put it into only one genre-categorie. if iTunes would support a clever tag system it would be much easier to categorize big music collections (i'm talking of +100gb). it would be easier and faster (more efficient) to find songs and albums. MacTheRipper | Dec 1 2008 |
VINCE. Best app to rip DVDs on the mac platform. i've been using it for years now and it always does a great job. but for my taste the functionality is too limited, i wish the app itself could not only rip, but 'shrink‘ the DVDs, so that they fit on single layer DVD-Rs. It's not as fast as DVDShrink which i used on windows years ago. I dont know why dvd ripping on mac does lag so much behind the windows-apps. This app needs an update soon! (Version 2.6.6)

MainMenu | Dec 1 2008 |
VINCE. Good software! Does a good job for the "main" tasks of cleaning a system. the rest does AppleJack. At least for me. MainMenu is great, if you don't want to use OnyX ( it is dangerous on some machines, and can cause crashes). The software never caused any trouble on my system, but helped to get rid of some bugs. UNCLEUNGIE By golly, I should have specified. µTorrent is a Universal Binary that will work for PPC and Intel macs...alas, is only compatible with Leopard. You, kind fellow, are running Tiger. Indeed, I can confirm it runs rather well on my friend's G5 tower. Peace! (Version 0.9.0.1b)
