Actually, it turns out that the action wipes out your key command selection in the pref pane. All I had to do was re-select the key command (F12) as the activator.

After cleaning my dashboard cache, F12 no longer works for invoking Dashboard on my macbook pro. Worked before the installation...go figure. Any ideas?
