Literally my favorite third-party add-on in the world because it allows putting a term into a list of customizable search engines simply by right-clicking the search text and the list appears next to it as a popup menu. The *only* reason I use Safari as my default instead of Camino (AcidSearch for Camino would be the ultimate one browser solution for me.) I don't think the developer spends much time on it because he can't afford to, so I would urge everyone to send him a small donation if possible (I am *not* affiliated with him in any way, I just think this is the greatest piece of add-on software I regularly use and it's too bad it can't be ported or at least polished out of beta status for Safari 3.) (He's also very responsive to emails, or at least has been to me.) |

0.7b3 works for me on Safari 3.1, system 10.4.11 (with a couple quirks). Or, have you tried going back to 0.62? I just got a response from the developer because I made a small donation but he didn't mention how much time (if any) he's spending on it. If you send me a private message I'll give you his new email address (I don't want to put it on the web without his permission.) My dream: AcidSearch for Camino-->the ultimate solution to the multiple-browser question! |
