TROUTNC  developer's comments appear to indicate this app does not do full (2-way) synchronization which results in updated equivalent directories.

Seems to be a major short-coming in a synchronization application.

This may have been true in version 1. The current 2.1 does full (2-way) synchronization by default.

Two-way synchronization may not be desirable for document package files, or instances where a Master's directory has been largely revised. The problem is old stuff coming back over from the Copy during synchronization.

The mirror option creates a "one-way" option that deletes any resources on the Copy that are not on the Master. Whether mirror option is used or not, matching files between the Master and Copy are still synchronized bidirectionally according to modification dates.

TROUTNC  A neat little app that does what it says it will do...if the window is in front.

What I would prefer is an app that does this via drag and drop onto an icon in the menubar or dock. A simple drag and drop would toggle visibility of the dropped items, and an option-click would toggle "show hidden files in finder."

Thanks to the developer.

TROUTNC  I purchased this app and now wish I had not.

The reason:

Just 3 or 4 months after purchasing v5.6.1, this new version appeared. Satori has offered no upgrade policy for me to move up to the new version, and I refuse to purchase the same app twice.

I believe this slights people such as me who have supported the upgrade process. I emailed Satori Publishing months ago and was told an upgrade policy was forthcoming. But I have not seen any evidence of any effort to follow through on their part.

I suggest that no one further support such unscrupulous developers.

DUNESTRIDER  And, no, you were not told an "upgrade policy was forthcoming": we have had an upgrade policy firmly in place since v3 (2003).

DUNESTRIDER  Gee, "TROUTNC", a.k.a. "Wayne Clodfelter" we cannot find any record of you as ever having ever purchased Lotto Sorcerer. Are you just a troll from our competitors?

PERSON1229  I'd be interested to see who's a competitor for this piece of junk.

This is an example of why RealBASIC is a bad thing.

TROUTNC  I've been a DiskWarrior user since I first owned a mac. It was high priced but it worked. That was in the days of Mac OS 6, 7, 8, and 9.

I also have TechTool Pro and Drive Genius. And TTP saved my bacon many times. But that was pre OS X.

Under OS X 3 and now 4, I have NEVER had need for any of them. Give Alsoft another 50 bucks? I don't think so. Good backups and OS X are all I need.

TROUTNC  I've used some tremendous freeware and shareware for many years. Never offered a review before.

Can't be quiet about this one. IMHO, the best app, doc, and folder launcher available for OSX at ANY price.

Assign a unique command and launch it or bring it to the desktop with a quick command-key sequence followed by the first few characters of the command you gave it.

EXAMPLE: Control-x to trigger command state, followed by typing "syslib" to open the System/Library folder on your desktop. You only need enter as many characters as necessary for the command to be unique.

One CAUTION here: Be sure and set recursion to NONE before launching a folder, or every item in the folder will try to open when you mount the folder.
